Plastic is the new "climate change". And the similarities are striking! In both cases humans put profit over anything else. In both cases humans did so for tens of years, and only after a while they started to realize or admit the impacts. In both cases the alarm is ringing very loud, and yet the ones polluting keep on polluting. In both cases the blame either goes on people (Hey people, sort your garbage! Don't use electricity so much! Buy local! Use electric cars! WTF people!), or on companies (Let's regulate them! Let's fine them! Let's....!) - and none are true or working. The blame should be on our trade-based society.

So yah, same story. Humans create a huge fucking mess, and we play the blame game and try to stop it by slapping hands, left and right, hopping that this will stop humans form doing the "bad" things. Not working!

I've been saying for years that climate change is not the biggest problem. There are so many such problems: plastic pollution, antibacterial resistance, viruses, garbage disposal, batteries, asteroid mining, and so forth. All of them are a result of our trade-based society. As long as that's still in place, ruling our lives, such problems will always exist and will be getting worse and worse. No rules or laws are going to change anything. We are fucked!

Unless we understand that trade fucks everything up, and we move towards a trade-free society. #tromlive

I managed a bit my tiotrom.com website today. Removed some old and irrelevant blog posts, replaced some archive.org videos with peertube ones, and removed all google trackers from the site. Good!

Also, it is so bloody annoying when you make some blog posts and embed youtube videos that are very relevant, to then see them removed...from now on I'll mirror them all on our videos.trom.tf whenever we will use any kind of videos for the TROM books or my personal website...it is simply fucked up that you can't link to these and have them "stay there". Same with links. At least you can use the wayback machine to save links...

Anyways, I will work these days to move ourminds.online to another domain that's free because .online one is too expensive and I also don't want to manage that website anymore :D. It was Dima's idea and I just made the website, but since he doesn't manage it anymore then well...I also can't. Won't disappear but I won't manage it either. I also have to add a few more apps to tromjaro.com/apps that I forgot to add + some other stuff. Of course, the focus will be mainly TROM II and the recordings. #tromlive

I see this idea of: human beings are social creatures. And how some argue that we are born "social" and articles upon articles, using fancy language and appearing scientific about the topic. What I think they are trying to say is that humans NEED some human-to-human connections to survive and thrive. And when they lack that, they suffer. This may be true with infants who indeed need someone to take care of them and teach them about the world, but once humans are tall enough to stand on their two feet, and loud enough to language themselves into conversations, then they may or may not need these connections. I fail to see where is this "hard core science" that humans are born one way or another....

I care not about relationships and I've been a loner for most of my life. And when relationships happen and I enjoyed them, then great. When not, then great. It is all about how the environment shapes us. I doubt I can be "socially excluded" and feel bad about it, since I do not measure myself inside any group. These are the things I learned.

So to use this shaky and blurry pseudo-scientific argument that humans are by nature social, so that's why facebook and the like "work" because they tap into this evolutionary bug, is simply retarded. Facebook and the like "work" simple because humans grow up in this society and they LEARN that being on fb is cool and "needed". You kick them out, and they suffer (of course). I, for one, am not on fb and do not "suffer" because fb banned me or I am not part of this "group". I have a satisfying life, so I don't need a "social" platform to "socialize".

Same with conspiracy theories and all that....people don't fall for these because of some biological predisposition, they fall for these because of their environment. They know nothing about how the world works or how science is done or journalism in general, they grow up with netflix and movies, they see a society that's corrupted....so ofc they believe all kinds of retarded stuff that they see on these ad-networks that pretend to be social-networks, because these networks promote whatever clicks more, since they are in the business of attention and data trading.

Simple minds growing up with stories and nonsense + organizations/individuals that create retarded conspiracies pushed by the desire to "grow" their user base (since growth can mean money/power) + social-networks that are actually ad-netrowks promoting whatever clicks more = conspiracy theorists.

It is simple, really. So stop making it complicated and murdering science by stabbing it with bad psychology "research" and fancy-complicated words. #tromlive
