Today is TROMjaro day for me. I will try to release a new ISO with updates and a few fixes. If I can do that today, tomorrow I will prepare for the TROM II recordings. In parallel with TROM II I'll work on tromjaro.com to add new trade-free apps to our library, on videoneat.com to add new documentaries, and on trom.tf to tweak some stuff, test new services, and so forth. So yah, a lot of work but a lot more relaxed right now. As long as the servers work well, all is fine ;). #tromlive

Our first stream on Peertube worked perfectly fine! So awesome! videos.trom.tf/videos/watch/08…
Quality super crisp. Streaming super fast. Conversion really fast. Only downside is the the 1080p file is some 5.4GB :D. Maybe I should tweak my OBS Studio settings a bit so we don't get that monster. On Youtube the same video in 1080p is 5 times less the size. Anyone knows why? How is Youtube so good at compressing video files?

My tasks today: compose a message to be sent to our Newsletter subscribers and a few organizations about our trom.tf and our podcast tomorrow. Test a bit OBS for tomorrow's stream. Change tromland.org a bit so that it posts a message about our new project. Tromland.org will be shut down soon. Our TROMcast will be scheduled tomorrow - meaning we will decide tomorrow. Today I was busy finishing all I had to finish ;). Musikwave is also red now like all of our trom.tf tools. Yah, some need some tweaks but we do them in time. No rush! But for sure tromcast will be this week. #tromlive

Ok ladies and gentleman, trom.tf is DONE. Only needs some proofreading and such. I only made some custom pages for a few applications since they are a lot more complex than the others, The others are kinda self explanatory. I also managed to install invidious and it works. But it is still experimental. I'll look a bit into making it a bit more functional and looking more nicer, later on.
So yah, I will schedule a TROM-Cast today or tomorrow, for this week. And create the new tromsite.com/tools page. So happy!
These are the services that will be released: Friendica, Nextcloud, Peertube, Searx, Lufi, Etherpad, Diagrams, RSS Bridge, Framadate, Libre QR, Bibliogram + Invidious. And ofc musikwave that is now part of this entire thing. #tromlive

Finished the presentation pages for our Friendica, Peertube, Nextcloud and Searx. The hardest ones to make. Lufi, LibreQR do not need one since they are very simple services. Etherpad needs a little presentation for all its features. But not much. Diagrams...I need to look more into it because it seems a very complete and complex tool (amazing one) - but am not super familiar with. So I have to look into it a bit before making the presentation page. RSS Bridge needs a simple presentation page. Framadate...idk if I have to make one for this since it is kinda self explanatory. And that's all. I've really pushed myself to do this one super properly.
I really liked how disroot.org tweaked a bit their apps to look kinda the same....well...wait for trom.tf because I went insane hahaha. Plus the presentation pages that are really great in my view. Lets see if tomorrow I can finish the remaining pages... #tromlive

trom.tf is in the making! Today I did a fuck ton of work...and I didn't even go out at all haha. But the website is taking shape. I also built a super cool page for the Friendica instance to showcase what is capable of. I am doing it for all of our services, but Friendica was probably the most time consuming to create because it is so awesome :). Maybe I'll finish it in 2-3 days :D. Oh and the super human @Alexio uploaded over 600 VideoNeat trailers to our peertube instance for the past 2 days....and he renames them all (the titles) and categorize them, and adds links to their description to VN....damn. Amazing! So we have around 1 thousand videos on our instance already hahaha. The server is doing great. #tromlive

We curated hundreds of trade-free Linux applications, we curate documentaries, lectures, movies, news, videos...and we post them on that page.

I think I am done with tromsite.com. Replaced a bunch of links. Of course I need to do the tools page, but that's after I do the trom.tf website that will host all of our new trade-free tools. @Alexio is helping a lot - he adds all of out VideoNeat trailers on our videos.trom.tf :) - hundreds and hundreds of them + edits the title and description so you get a link in the description to VN where you can watch these documentaries for free. We did a lot. And we are almost done. I reckon in a few days we should release trom.tf, the TROM dot Trade-Free project, a precursor to tromland.org :). As soon as we release we will do a TROMcast on videos.trom.tf :) - lets test the live! Then I need to focus a bit on tromjaro and add a few apps (around 100) to our curated library, and TROM II baby! Lets finish up with the recordings with Dima, Sasha and Aaron. #tromlive #trom2

TROM Videos page updated tromsite.com/videos/ - now we have the latest 3 videos on top, and then the playlists as before bellow that, for each video category we have. All is automated now. Meaning: when @Aaron for example makes a video, he uploads it directly to our Peertube (videos.trom.tf) and it is automatically posted on our trom videos page. That's how it should be! Great! moving on with the migration! #tromlive

Searx is DONE! I managed to make two themes on top of the logicodev ones. So logicodev is the TROM light theme, and logicodev-dark the dark TROM theme. Both look awesome in my view. Give them a try here search.trom.tf/ :) - So now, the only one to tweak a bit is Peertube. Wow, just one left. I shall do it tomorrow ;). #tromlive
