Yah there is no purpose in this society other than trading. Ancient practice that has transformed us all into merchants and consumers. Until that is recognized there is no path towards a solution.

Working on a video about the cancer of culture, this "racism", division, hate, violence, groups and separation. And I feel like I should give up. Just drive with the motorhome to some nature places and focus on positive things because this world is really insane.
Likely I will finish the script, but honestly the state of the world today is like metastasized cancer. Seems incurable.
Sad because we are all one species with the greatest history in the entire universe. How we evolved, how connected we are, how capable we can be.
But what can you expect from a trade based society where humans are consuming idiots in a race to accumulate more and more. Mindless. Zombies. Robots that have no purpose other than that of being a tool in a consumerist society.

This motherfucker held a "news" article saying there is a genocide in South Africa:
"But the image isn't from South Africa - it's actually from a report about women being killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo."
That among so many lies he said as "truths". Source - bbc.com/news/articles/ce9vxve9…
The level if lying and idiocracy we see in the world today have made this fucked up society even more of a shitshow. "The truth is what you want it to be!" seems to be what so many are doing today.
Absolute garbage. And this is a random and tiny example of the immense pile of shit that is raining down today, from politics to pretty much anything else.
Disgusting.
And very dangerous.

I like how on tromnews.com/illustrations/ you can see this world represented with illustrations rather than words. And they say a lot.

Politics, a cringe show. And USA has the most popular of the shows.
Empty words, rich people, a cult of following. Nothing changes: most people have to trade their lives to survive (work), the rich are getting richer, inequality on the rise, the destruction of nature is flourishing. More idiots, more stupidity, shittier and fake lives.
Planet Trade. Welcome. Very predictable. Enjoy the show, slurp the fantasies.

The idiots on planet Earth, busy with their dramas, hate, divisions, borders, competition. While they have global problems and common needs.
Their most popular news and activities should be about the wonderful rock they are lucky to be on. The creatures, the places, themselves. There are entire universes inside all of us. Inside even a single cell. There are endless stars and planets out there.
Intelligent species you say!?
Show must go on! The Caesar Roman general was nearly assassinated so now we can gossip, talk, debate, and be busy with this story for months or years. Some empire attacked another killing hundreds of thousands. Have you heard about the wife of the emperor cheating on him?
2024 is the same as 2024 BC. Same shit. Wars, conflicts, gossip, decimation of other creatures and destruction of the environment.
Same idiots, only that now we have internet, electricity and airplanes.

History
Underlying rights
beneath ideas like
freedom
equality under the law

we find community
You

and all our masks
and stories.
Wise elders of yore
devised ritual
stomping into Earth,
in communion
with planet, land
of ancestors, sacred lore.
I see your face,
study the lines and lessons
life has given.
Do you see the scarlet
streams of suffering
so unnecessary
missed cues,
fear itself,
unexpected consequences,
collateral damage?
If life were simple
childish agonies
dispelled with dawn’s
bright kiss,
we would laugh
so happy to know
cross-purposes, cross-talk
easily sorted out in counsel.
Cast into sorted cells
with little thought to empowering;
we could harness the Sun, Moon,
birth of the planets,
simply
allowing our minds to grow.

Unfortunately things are looking really grim right now for the world.... Man I hope we get through this without blowing each other up.... 😅
A lot of the things happening around us prove that people are seriously lacking good education and a sense of nuance.

From the earliest days of human civilization, the act of exchange — whether of goods, services, or ideas — has been a cornerstone of societal development. This ancient practice, rooted in barter and trade, has evolved over millennia into the complex global economy we inhabit today. What began as a simple necessity for survival has transformed us all into merchants and consumers, redefining our roles, relationships, and even our sense of self.
In tribal societies, trade was often a communal activity, embedded in rituals and social bonds. It wasn’t merely transactional; it was relational. Goods were exchanged not just for utility, but to build alliances, express gratitude, or maintain harmony. Over time, as societies grew and markets emerged, trade became more formalized. The rise of currency, marketplaces, and merchant classes marked a shift — from communal exchange to individual enterprise.
Today, this transformation is complete. We live in a world where nearly every aspect of life is touched by commerce. We are merchants when we sell our labor, our creativity, or our time. We are consumers when we seek comfort, identity, or status through the things we buy. The marketplace is no longer a physical space — it is digital, global, and omnipresent.
This shift has profound implications. On one hand, it has enabled unprecedented innovation, connectivity, and prosperity. On the other, it has commodified aspects of life once considered sacred or personal — from education to relationships, even identity itself. The ancient practice of exchange has not only shaped our economies; it has shaped our values.
Are we better for it? That remains a question worth exploring. But one thing is certain: the legacy of that ancient practice continues to define who we are — merchants and consumers in a world built on trade.
