Webb telescope spots what astronomers believe are surprisingly large galaxies dating back to early universe.

Very interesting. Listen I have another "theory": shocker but every single galaxy we have observed so far is actually our own at different stages. Even when there are a few colliding it is an illusion. :) Even more shocking than my Black Balls theory.

No but seriously now, I love when experiments/observations of this kind do not match what scientists expect. Why? Because it is fascinating. The reality may be so different from what we know now. Maybe there was no "big bang" but something else....maybe the theory of galaxy formation is wrong. You know they had to kinda "invent" the "dark matter" to explain how galaxies are held in place. Then "dark energy" to explain why the universe expands at increasing rates...

So yeah, fascinating. Very :) - I love the Universe. It is such a wonderful garden full of mysteries.

Ooh, that reminds me of this video - youtube.com/watch?v=EjjWi5PizX…

Curved universe is a fascinating concept, we can never know for sure how the entire universe is shaped like. But in that video he points out that scientists have tried to measure the curvature of our observable universe and with a margin of + or - 0.4% they think that its flat. So considering the fact that we can only observe galaxies inside the observable universe then its very unlikely that we're seeing our own galaxy 🤔

in reply to Rokosun

If you watched the video I linked above, there's also a pinned comment below it where he corrects some mistake he made. He says that in a round universe, earth (or galaxy in our case) would be stretched across the sky, kinda like if you step inside a spherical mirror you'll see your face and entire body stretched across its surface. So in the video he shows that we see another earth when he zooms in, but in reality we'll be seeing earth stretched across the entire screen.

idk observations, experiments, maybe it is irrelevant to even think of the universe as having a "shape". Maybe the universe is all that is/exists, and thus has no particular shape just an infinite space. idk....it is weird. But I never understood this concept of dimensions except when you talk about maths and physics. I find the concept weird and maybe it is not even a real thing.
in reply to Tio

Of course dimensions are just a concept since we can't actually observe any other dimensions than the one we live in. And most of mathematics are imaginary things like that, even though they can be useful for solving problems sometimes. Like for example, what do we mean by negative numbers? We can never actually have a negative number of things in real life, so its like an imaginary concept that can be a useful tool sometimes.
in reply to Tio

The video didn't prove anything, he just mentioned that some scientists have tried to analyse the shape of the universe and they found it to be pretty flat, the observable universe that is, no one knows the shape of the entire universe. There is also a Wikipedia article about the whole thing - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shape_of…

So now the fashionable thing is for "documentaries" to be about murderers, cults or celebrities, and be like 8 parts long and made (bought) by netflix, apple, or hulu? Interesting world we live in. These are not documentaries as much as drama-shows. You see these companies need to make shit-load of content, to gain more subscribers, and keep the subscribed ones around.

Anyway. Awful.

Bloody hell I managed to replace ALL trailers for videoneat.com with our Peertube links and make them open in a proper popup. I thought it would take me months, but took me days. I did work many hours a day to do it. Now it is done. Awesome!

Back to work on the documentary!

Some 47 minutes done for the last TROM II part:

Very efficient today. Only some 15 more minutes till all is done! Wow...can't believe I am getting so close.

Happy with this last part so far. But I have to be honest, I feel like I can't judge this documentary anymore....after 2 years of editing....idk if it makes sense or not. Regardless I'll finish it haha.

I will continue to work on it these days, more and more.

All of the "shorts" videos from our https://tromnews.com/videos/ are now extinct! No more shorts. These videos, the shorts, are a byproduct of a trade-insanity where humans are obsessed to do whatever it takes to grab more attention. Because they can trade that for other things. In this case the traders are hopping on a train brought by the TikTok ad company and emulated by Youtube ad company.

These "shorts" videos were ruining our entire video section. So we had to manually fix this for every source. And should be fixed from now on for good.

I did a covide test I do not have covid which is great. However I am still not "back" yet. Feel a bit better but still unable to do anything other than continue to stay inside and be like an old man haha. My brain is foggy. My skin hurts. Other things "hurts". We are big, but we can be so fucked by these minuscule creatures (germs). It is quite astonishing to me :D.

Great interview all about aging ytb.trom.tf/watch?v=lkEHvSWeMz…

This is a topic that interested me for more than a decade now. I talked about it in the first TROM documentary and will bring it back into the second TROM. What seemed like fantasy even 10 years ago, now seems like a very solid and scientific endeavor. It fascinates me.

I wish I could live a thousand years :) - I would never get bored :P

In other news I replaced the trailers for VideoNeat.com for some 300 documentaries today....manually....1.200 more to go haahah. Will do it slowly over the course of the next months. I feel better today. I hope to start the work on TROM II tomorrow.

Yaas, that's mindblowing.. totally agree that it seems absolutely feasible to prolong the life or/and to increase a quality of life in general by rejuvenation of some body parts. Just focus on science already dammit :grinning face with smiling eyes:

Btw, this looks promising. Far from making people to live forever tho, but who knows..

No level of alcohol consumption is safe for our health who.int/europe/news/item/04-01…

Interesting. I do not drink alcohol at all. Because I never feel the need to....I never did. I would be curious how big the relative risk is of drinking alcohol and developing some cancers....but yeah, alcohol, a drug sold as legal in today's world, while other drugs are treated like pure evil.

In my view people should consume whatever they want, it is their lives after all. But we should be aware of the risks.

VideoNeat is up again! The theme was very old and not updated in years so it was not working properly and we were unable to update the whole website for some time now. We finally changed the theme and redesigned the entire website. It looks quite similar to how it was before, but probably a bit more functional now.

Mind you it is not optimized for mobile phones and it won't be for some time. It is not a priority for now. Only after the TROM II documentary is released we can do that. But regardless this website is not meant for such tiny screens anyway. And most mobile phones can't even properly support the Bittorrent network that VN uses.

Also we need some 50 more euros for our campaign to pay for the backups for VN and all other websites. Please help if you can tromsite.com/fundraiser/ we have to pay in less than a week.

TROM II documentary update: I finished some 37 minutes from the last part :) - I am definitely half way and I think I already did the hard part.

As you can see we talk a bit about these beauties too :) - friendica, mastodon, and the like ;)

Also, god bless the 64GB of RAM:

They do help a fuck lot!

Will I finish this part this month? We shall see! :)

Crazy shit folks....nuts world.

But even those using these sort of spy mechanisms are failing, because they can't prevent anything really. Or change much. They may target specific people, kill them, blackmail them, but in the end is futile even for them. Ugly society.

Newly added documentary on VideoNeat.com:

Global Spyware Scandal: Exposing Pegasus

FRONTLINE and Forbidden Stories investigate the powerful spyware Pegasus, sold to governments around the world by the Israeli company NSO Group.
