I use less than 5L of water to shower in our motorhome and I take a very decent shower. It is all about knowing how to use that water. Likely a shower at home would use over 10 times that. Here is the water consumption in EU on average:
statista.com/chart/19591/avera…
The average human in Spain consumes in a day as much as we two consume in a week in our motorhome.

Costs of full-time living in a motorhome in Spain - videos.trom.tf/w/upM7VpUx5Nzjn…
This is how much it costs for 2 people living full-time in a motorhome in Spain. From food, fuel, internet, repairs, everything. In short it is a lot cheaper than renting something in Spain.

Caminito Del Rey, once the most dangerous hike in the world.... - videos.trom.tf/w/keUxNwBGjXLBC…
This was the best place we visited so far, an amazing hike through a wonderful canyon. This hike was considered one of the most dangerous in the world up until 2015 or so, when they rebuilt it all to make it safe. The views are spectacular. Hard to showcase that in a video....but we did our best 😃.

How we do astrophotography with an old phone?

Cerro del Hierro, a very nice place where we stayed for a few days and were able to capture perhaps the most amazing nigthsky timelapse. Us, a bench, and the rest of the universe. And we explain how we do these photos/timelapses.
We were also invaded by goats and Sasha went for a small hike between the beautiful rocks.

The best paid parking? And can we get out? - videos.trom.tf/w/vewyoFQd9VmYM…
Fuente Del Arco was a surprisingly good paid parking. Just 6 euros for parking, water, and electricity. But when we tried to get out we realized that the only way out was uphill and near a big hole that was not there when we parked. It was really difficult to get the motorhome out of there... But we really liked that place in terms of motorhome parking.

Getting stuck in the most beautiful place - videos.trom.tf/w/bxTbZkK2TYaUY…
Masatrigo looks like a volcano, but it is just a beautifully shaped hill with a roundabout around it. It looks so cool from afar, and the entire area is actually super beautiful. But it has been raining in Spain for many weeks and the soil/grass was very wet. We parked in a not so very steep place, but it was enough to get us totally stuck.
Luckily a very nice old man came to our rescue.

This was a creepy place - videos.trom.tf/w/2pDZA7QkdP7QN…
We ended up in a place that was used for cultish rituals (aka: religion). Tens of big trash bins, lots and lots of garbage, fire pits...and signs about "virgins". Except that, the place was quiet and still ok 😃.

You mean how often we do the laundry? We managed to go 3 weeks before doing it, and we did 2 loads basically...in the next video we explain it all. But if you have a lot of underwear and socks :) then you can delay this task :9
And yes there are many laundromats in Spain.

We are in the south of Spain now and we will take it easy. We drive like 60km every other day, so we can get to see some nice places and relax more.
And as much as I like cool places, I also LOVE to stay somewhere where we have access to water/amenities for the motorhome, where is no one, and is nice enough so I can focus on my computer work!
We here now:
Around Cordoba. We will stay for a few days in this place because there is a storm coming to the entire Spain and there will be lots of rain. So we need a safe place to be in.
We have our batteries quite full, the fridge is full, water infinite, unlimited satellite internet. And now I am working on TROMjaro, will add new stuff to VideoNeat, and will work to make more videos for TROMhome. For me, this is super relaxing. :)

Solution is sub-surface drip irrigation line made for grey water. Put a couple of filters in prior to the underground pipe to prevent blockages - no smell, no having to move the sprinkler around, green lawn. Using detergent without sodium is important.
The view from our motorhome today:
Yeah I got a headache driving here because it took us 6 hours to also stop buy food, put gas, etc., But man....what a fucking view...
Before this place we stayed in another one, so close to nature. We stayed for 3 days because we liked it so much...
Went for a long hike through the mountains and some waterfalls :)
We will publish videos about all of these only on our Peertube channel - videos.trom.tf/c/tromhome/vide… - no BS youtube. Straight to Peertube! :)
From tomorrow on we will meet with some of the most wonderful TROM friends in the south-ish of Spain :). So excited to see @Roma and @aaron
I really liked the past few days with the motorhome...thats what I want: nature, relax, dont rush, calmness....

Living in a motorhome is no small feat, I don't think I could live this lifestyle even tho I like the idea of being able to travel with your home. Having to deal with water would be my biggest hurdle for sure, I need lots of water lol 😂
I bet Sasha loves it tho, she can finally travel again 😄 And hopefully you can adapt over time let's see..... 🤞
For sure, such a big change, and changes are always so difficult! Considering it can take weeks sometimes just to rebalance my gut, I guess it will take some time to adjust your body, but surely you will get there in time 🤗

Motorhome DONE (7): The 3.2 meters long object we could not do without :) - videos.trom.tf/w/rc4GYZuXuhx4d…
We needed a ladder because the one that is attached to the motorhome is really not that good and useful. This is the last video in this series of "motorhome done", just to complete the tour 😃. Next videos will be a lot more interesting 😃.

I don't want to know how much water I use to shower 🙈 🥲
I don't think I'd be okay with having to wipe off my utensils instead of washing them, but I guess it makes sense in a motorhome considering limited water storage. Life in the motorhome might be an extreme example but in general I agree that people should be mindful of their resource usage..... I feel like it'd be better to use water from a well or something for our shower if possible, no need to have treated drinking water in our bathrooms at all.
Tio
in reply to Rokosun • •We wipe the dishes and cutlery a little bit before washing them. It is really not a bi deal and many people who use dishwashers do that before putting them in the dishwasher. As someone who always wanted comfort and wants to feel at home wherever I live, I can tell you these different practices like with the dishes or showering with little water are far from extreme :)
But yah water usage at home is insane. Maybe sensors can help, like when you are under the shower to have the water run but not when you are soaping and not directly under idk. But feels insane to consume so much water, like you go pee and flush 4-5L of fresh water for that...wtf....

Oh so you always wash it off after wiping, that makes sense. Anyway good that you feel at home with this lifestyle.....
Wait, do people not turn off their shower when soaping? Why do you need a sensor for this lol 😂 It reminds me of those ads ran by a toothpaste company on world water day showing someone who doesn't turn off his tap when brushing his teeth, it was like a PSA to get people to close their taps when not using water. I never did those things so it sounded a bit crazy to me that someone just wouldn't close their tap like that.....
4-5L of water to flush down your pee is insane man. It reminds me of a little trick I saw on YouTube one day, where you fill a 1L bottle with water and put it in your toilet's flush tank, so that way you'll be saving 1L of water on every flush. This is also why I think you shouldn't use drinkable water in your toilet or bathrooms if possible.... If you can pump ground water from a well or something that could be used instead of using treated drinkable water.
Tio
in reply to Rokosun • •Yah as far as I know people do not turn off the shower or tap while washing or brushing. For shower I also didn't do it....so yah....
And for flushing the toilet I think the best would be to use the sink water to do that. Like store the sink water into the toilet tank basically...
I am sure there are solutions for these if there is an incentive for it.
