These past 2 days I have tried my best to label and divide into smaller parts all of the rest of our recordings, except for @Sasha and @Georgi part. But even now I have 10 freaking hours of footage....and after I am done tomorrow I'll probably have some 13-14 hours. Ideally I need to cut this down to no more than 2 hours MAX. Lots of good stuff in the recordings so I feel bad leaving so much out...but I can maybe post the leftovers as "leftovers" - extra bits for the documentary.

Tomorrow I am done with the tagging. And then the last real challenge begins. To create the last part or parts of TROM II...this is the most difficult part by far. Let's see...
I wish I had the money to properly focus on this documentary....and not force myself to rush and finish it in the next 2 months...but what can I do!? I really can't do much.... #tromlive

Here are two important things to do in order to have your digital stuff secure:
- Do backups! Honestly I don't get how some people go about their lives without having their stuff backed-up. You can so easily delete your digital stuff and never recover it.
- Enable Two Factor authentication for all of the important websites you use. I use KeePassXC that also has this capability.

I simply can't force myself to do creative work. I mean that should be self evident. Financial issues...I also got a virus infection...maybe I should take a few days off and hope for less negative news these two months so I can work on TROM II. We are all prisoners in this fucked up society. And those who see otherwise are just adapted to it. The fact that I cannot focus on the work I am doing, without suffering a lot and struggling, says all it needs to be said about our society. Doing some 30 projects, wrote over 35 books, made tens of hours of videos and working on a new documentary, a podcast, a custom linux distro, and a lot more...and my only sin is that I refuse to trade my work. Therefore I am not allowed in this society. That's how it is.
I create a lot of value for thousands of people, I do not steal, do not pollute or waste much at all - I try to stay informed about the world and all that; and yet from society's perspective I am worth nothing.
Welcome to planet Earth full of waste, slavery, inequality, pointless jobs, zombie people. Amen.

For me flatpak is more like a bandage than anything else, sure it might be helpful in situations like these, but its never a complete long term solution. All of these problems you described happened because of dependency errors, I usually downgrade that dependency to make things work until the devs figure it out and release a new update that works.
Instead of changing the program to work on the user's machine, flatpak changes the user's machine to make the program work ! This is what flatpak does in a nutshell. it sure makes things easy for the devs, but I think an optimal solution here would be to have a better system for detecting dependency errors and maybe provide an easy method for users to downgrade packages if something goes wrong.
usually downgrade that dependency to make things work until the devs figure it out and release a new update that works.
Sure I could have done that but that will probably result in other broken packages that depend on that one.

We are indexing a lot of websites for our Yacy decentralized search engine. A proper search engine that we integrated into our SearX instance at search.trom.tf. We want to make SearX a lot more relevant + add up to the decentralized search engine. We will index some 30-40GB of stuff, meaning a few million pages. We take the best sources from our own websites, tromnews, and the like. And test the search results and tweak them to make them better and better.

This is how I keep our servers/services in a good state, especially when it comes to trom.tf and its over 20 services:
- I delay the updates that come from yunohost. Wait a few days before you update any app, just in case there is an issue with any update. Take a look at their github page to see if others complain :;)
- Before I update any app or any package (system) I create a system snapshot. That means I can always restore even if I blow it all up.
- Yunohost automatically creates a backup before updating any app. This is super handy.
- I do daily backups to a remote server for all of our servers.
This way it is a lot less likely for me to break any website for long. I can pretty much always restore it. I learned from mistakes. Now I think our servers work quite well and are quite stable.

This video made me very sad. I alwyas thought about death and how fucked up it is to die. I do not want to. I am still young but death is something I will have to face, whether I like it or not. We are all in the process of dying. I wish this stupid society would be saner and we could focus on fighting aging. Cure it. Prolong it if not. But the priorities today are the opposite: to kill humans, to make them busy with nonsensical jobs. To waste them entirely.
This video is motivational on the other hand, to not waste your time. Because you run out of it. So far I've done what I wanted to do and I keep on trying to do the same. I wish we could fix aging...I wish we could fix our society, because that could allow us to also fix aging.... #tromlive

3. Outside of community,: I guess one has to take advantage of what the current society offers. I know someone who is able to draw social security payments because he managed to obtain a medical verdict that he is psychologically unfit to work. Up till recently we gave him free accommodation for 5 years in our household. (Recently he managed to obtain a guest residency somewhere to do a writing project.) We are not rich and there are no doubt many other people that can offer something like that too? (Squatting is another solution.)

in reply to hosh • •Encouraging to read such a down-to-earth and to-the-point comment. I live in Catalonia (Spain) and I've heard that there are several such communities here. I also know one in the south of spain where they even provide you with a house if you help build other houses (including yours). We do think about such solutions. At least to try out. On one hand I'd be curious to talk to these people and also expose them to TROM, on the other hand I am quite anti-social in many regards. I do not like small talks or be surrounded by many people. I like my own comfort and space. So we will see. But for sure I'll have to try such things.

Many people fear they won't have enough wealth for themselves.
Others fear they won't have enough wealth to help others/close ones when they'll need it.
In such a fearful world, people hesitate to trust that kindness will be returned eventually.
On the other hand trade prospers since it's enforced by police and courts which people fear even more, allowing them to trust they will get at least something in return.

But apart from the reasons of fear / scarcity / greed / not knowing how to share etc... for other reasons you have also your own evidence and reasons, for example for unsaid reasons not really talking about things with me. And I don't claim to be God but at least another free person and without any reasons why... Like seriously you chat so much with others but from message #1 something off on your side... so you could be part of it too... this is a constructive look at that and take your time too - I write a lot and it's not rage (this is also your own thing that you're asking to solve maybe through others going through same things with others! It's also hard to give money away or handle it.... The inherit % loss all the time means it's scarce or like gold dust (literally because it is being eroded and that's partially the habit of needing more and to squirrel it away) so you might know that but we all are just learning (like 5mins ago) and reminding ourselves it doesn't work either way... so we HAVE NO CHOICE but to spend / use with LIKE-MINDED people what value it has left and die out that way. Else MORE OFTEN fall into the same traps (being cornered and alone too increasingly) of those corralling the small fish (the big fish). Your tools will help dude but socially it can fail totally on that front.
So I put my hand up for when I could have even given to a friend when needed but just because he spend it at the pub (wasn't much money) I didn't give it and that was last I saw of him... And I wasn't poor by far...
I also think people don't like the medium anyway (at all sometimes) and this is the bottom line as a "only if I have to spend" is the thing and there is a bit of a cruel justice happening like you explained in your situation that people don't give UNLESS THEY HAVE TO... then it's probably similar to people thinking "I don't need to talk to him, her, him xhe xyz"... but they dont' see that's it the justice exactly like giving of money or not because from all of us not doing it festers and even helps the bad.
To clarify about the money and keep context: By not spending on you they lose more perhaps... but also things are equalising these initially-false bubbles of money so as people spend minimally is kinda-works until all of us become so poor or cornered by credit% (and big fish) that maybe we to *need* to talk to each other again and cooperate ... NO CHOICE! Only when we are starving from communication, depression, breakups, whatever - only then 'the penny drops' in their head that it's important to keep giving and in your case not just free-tools but social other changes direct/indirect (you might be already I haven't been checking on you so you judge yourself)
FORCE AS USUAL IS NEEDED OTHERWISE "WHY BOTHER"
SO as usual force of some kind is needed (tax, war or famine or bank recession etc)... I'm not going to force you but your point is good people for many reasons won't give, don't know how this works in humanity, and then in some way free also wants to be free too but in a world like this needs more diversity and input into free (like living in a house instead of individuals all paying rent)
But sadly people don't see the relationship side like "ONE FAMILY" it's is not their aim, luxuries and levels increased or standards means people are not able to grasps the feeling of "oh yeah that's what's going to win things better and be a bit more fun" and "I could be homeless too when they come for me or decide to screw the next levels up"
SUMMARY (I KNOW IT WAS LONG / I TRIED)
For many reasons justified in lack of giving, we could also train those that have ample and make something easier or better practised even indirectly working with it. To even train people to give is good overall because business is mostly a cut-throat numerical thing (de-humanising) and therefore gets worse through those de-humanising filters or work. Better umbrellas of people... with houses and space and money and some fucking fun even danger.
