If there is one place that we liked the most, it was the Cares Trail in Picos de Europa. Amazing trail between huge mountains. You feel so small, yet contaminated with awe. We found goats, little waterfalls, and saw snowy peaks. This is a place we must go again to!

Cares Trail - The best place we visited

If there is one place that we liked the most, it was the Cares Trail in Picos de Europa. Amazing trail between huge mountains. You feel so small, yet contaminated with awe. We found goats, little waterfalls, and saw snowy peaks. This is a place we must go again to!

So there is a massive power outage in Spain and Portugal right now. No phone service, no Internet, no "modern" life :D. The cause is unknown - euronews.com/my-europe/2025/04…

What is funny is that we are in the mountains in spain with our TROMhome and we had no clue about any of these. We are fully offgrid in terms of power.

We have lots of solar panels, enough batteries, and satellite internet. So we are all good.

Perhaps we are indeed ready for an apocalypse. Waiting for it here in Picos de Europa :)

We are in the south of Spain now and we will take it easy. We drive like 60km every other day, so we can get to see some nice places and relax more.

And as much as I like cool places, I also LOVE to stay somewhere where we have access to water/amenities for the motorhome, where is no one, and is nice enough so I can focus on my computer work!

We here now:

Around Cordoba. We will stay for a few days in this place because there is a storm coming to the entire Spain and there will be lots of rain. So we need a safe place to be in.

We have our batteries quite full, the fridge is full, water infinite, unlimited satellite internet. And now I am working on TROMjaro, will add new stuff to VideoNeat, and will work to make more videos for TROMhome. For me, this is super relaxing. :)

Just a relaxing day at the river. Nice, cozy, calm. Nature :). We've also bought a big carpet to put in the motorhome to make it cozy and keep it clean.

Well, it went exactly as wrong as we were fearing. Very bad! But we managed to fix it. And we broke our second electric tool while doing this.

Putting an extraction fan in the bathroom is really a must!

I think if I'd live 678 years I would never get bored and I would have new projects to do all the time. I feel like I want to do a lot. And I do a lot every day, but the days are too short for my motivation and drive. The weeks, the months, are flying by so fast. The years, still more ahead than behind, but soon they will balance, and then you'll ride the ones ahead. But it's all about making the best of this ride, even tho too short.

This year we have a motorhome, very little money, and a lot of plans.

For example we need to put a satellite dish (a Starlink Mini) so that I can keep our servers updated, do backups, upload our TROMjaro ISOs from the middle of nowhere, and in general be available online to help with the TROM projects. We need it specifically for my work on TROM.

So if anyone can help we have a GoFundMe for it gofundme.com/f/help-us-get-a-s… (450 Euros). I hate that they are putting satellites into the orbit, but we have no better option in Europe. The monthly fee of 72 Euros is also gigantic for us, but again I need an unlimited Internet access...

If anyone can help that'd be fantastic. If not is ok we will buy it eventually.
