These past few weeks I’ve been preparing for my interview for TROM 2 Documentary. The first part of the interview was about my life- childhood, how I started traveling around the world, university, etc. The second part of the interview was about the state of the natural world- biodiversity loss, ecosystem destruction, climate change, pollution, etc. To get a good overview of what’s happening globally, I read a bunch of reports from the UN, WWF, and a few other organizations, and went through a lot of articles, documentaries, etc. And of course, we also talked about trade and how trade is at the core of the human society that we’ve developed- and how that’s creating a lot of problems.
Then finally- we recorded 3 days in a row and now we are finally finished with all of the filming for TROM 2! (My interview was the last one). Now Tio has a lot of work on his hands, I hope it’s not too overwhelming. But since Tio managed to make the first TROM Documentary all by himself, I am confident that he’ll be able to make something amazing out of TROM 2 :)
Guess what? We finished the recordings for TROM II. Finally! Wow. We stay up until 4am to do them. Sasha was amazing and we got some really great footage from her interview. We may have some 20h of recordings so this these next months we will work on making sense of these all, and create the sequel to TROM documentary. It will be tough - very much so. We recorded Sasha today. Really great recording. Everything went so great, so smooth. This first part was all about her life story. Tomorrow we will record about the state of our society. Sasha prepared a lot. She read through a lot of UN reports and such, so that what she will present will be as factual as possible. All of the facts we will present in TROM II will be sourced, of course. Directly on the video and in the description. #tromimg

I am a bit stuck with the new tromjaro ISO because of a small bug with the kvantum theme that we are using it seems. Or am not sure. The text is blackish on a blackish background for QT apps. So....the installer is not very useful in such a state. I will try again tomorrow to find a fix. The rest of the "trains" are working well. Updated YNH to the latest and all looks good. Tomorrow night I'll update some key trom.tf apps as I mentioned these days. #tromlive
I found out what made our Peertube live stream suddenly stop for the past 2 streams. I set it up to also convert in 3 formats during the live stream. And apparently this kills the server - you need a very powerful server for the job - however if I looked at the server itself it was never close to being "killed". So am not sure if this was truly the case, but that's what the dev of Peertube are saying (and I am questioning it). In any regards, it should work from now on without the conversion. And the conversion happens afterwards. I had to do hours of test live streamings today to figure this out. Anyways... I will also update Peertube and Cryptpad on 11th so you all know. I am yet to fix some Calamares stuff for tromjaro in order to release a new ISO. Maybe I'll realease without that. I'll try to focus more on tromjaro the next days. And the next week we plan to finish the recordings for TROM II. #tromlive

Super cool that Cryptpad (office.trom.tf) allows for notifications now. I just sent one to all users that we will do some maintenance in a week. Basically I plan to push the Cryptpad update in a week. I am doing this with all major trom.tf apps. Wait for a week and let everyone know in advance. I wand to do this trom.tf thingy properly ;). #tromlive
I worked on a new TROMjaro ISO these days to get ready for when manjaro pushes the gnome-shell 40. So far so good, except Calamares (the installer) has some minor text issues - I reported them. I won't work much this month on anything....except TROM II recordings. I am enjoying the time with Aaron and some nice sunny days. Then in the middle of the month I have to start moving my stuff to my parents' house since I cannot afford to live on my own anymore. What can I do!? So yah, I will try to be lazy this month and move my life to another location. All of our tools should be up and running. #tromlive

I hope to add more documentaries these days to VN and work more on a new tromjaro ISO. Today I also met an octopus and it touched my hand and is weird as fuck - so powerful these little things are. I may make a blog post about that. We found a place here in our town where there are several such creatures and they are friendly as fuck. One took my gopro for a spin haha. And filmed herself. So yah, I am taking it more easily these days. Relax more. Play more. Next week I plan to 100% finish with the TROM II recordings. Need to film Aaron for 15 or so more minutes, reading something. Then finally and lastly to record @Sasha . Maybe then I may record myself again for a few minutes, but am not sure. All websites work well. @Alexio helps with seeding VN stuff; and yah, I love when things work and I don't have to worry about that :D. #tromlive

They do not understand what currencies are, what trade is, how data collection, ads, jobs, or laws, are part of the same monster that is this trade-based society. They do not, do not, do not and do not understand that our worldwide society (from china to canada, europe to africa, us to russia), is almost 100% based on trade. That's all it is, regardless of the political system in place. And thus, same society, has same goals and outcomes: profit, inequality, waste, pollution, destruction of the environment and humans, slavery, bad products, fast fashion, and so forth.

So I wanted to do a simple video editing today on Linux: we have several videos, some landscape, some portrait. To add them all together, and rotate the portrait ones to landscape. Plus do some color adjustments for all at once. Kdenlive is great overall, but rotating is a joke if you want a simple rotate 90degrees and such. You have to rotate manually and hope for the best + zoom in since the clip may not fit the edges....Pitivi, Openshot, Shotcut, Flowblade....they seem designed by the ones who code them :D. No but honestly if you want a great software you should detach the ones who code them from those who design them. Design should be intuitive, simple, known.
It stressed me out haha. Kudos for people making these tools, and I promote and use them daily....but yah, we ended up not rotating and color fixing any video...
I tweaked a bit our office.trom.tf/ to look better. Usually Cryptpad is a bit messy a ton of info there, some has nothing to do with our own instance (like premium accounts and such). So yah, I like things simple and efficient ;). And so I made it like that:
