I visited my family in Russia after over 5 years of not seeing them. Babushkas are getting older, but still walking and feeding cats, ducks and pigeons 😊 I wrote about their funny habits in chapter 3 of my book bigworldsmallsasha.com/book/ Feels so long ago now 🥲
I used the standard Pixel camera in astrophotography mode. Since I use CalyxOS the processing likely happens on the device itself, so no google nonsense. After I took the photo I edited it with RawTherapee
I wish we could see it with our own eyes :D - because even this I could not see it myself, but the phone captured it... We need to go to a super dark place and gaze at the sky. I fucking love this literal window to the universe :)
No it is more like Lightroom from Adobe. Geared towards editing photos - colors, light, contrast, shades, etc.. Much more advanced than what Gimp can do. And also trade-free :).
@small circle 🕊 in calmness Part of the problem is that many things that used to be non-profit or cooperatives have become for profit. And once they became for profit, it became all about the money. Not everything should be for profit.
Our Gofundme for backing up all of our projects has been completed! Thank you Raimondas for the latest donation and to the rest who have donated! gofundme.com/f/paying-for-the-…
search.trom.tf/ was moved to our secondary server to avoid future problems with the hosting that warned us against recently about a kind of "abuse" - We think might have been the search engine that probes the searx instance list when doing a search. Will see.
But for now the TROM Search works as usual only that it has been moved to a different server.
ALARCÓN: this was a very beautiful place to stay for one night. Amazing view directly from our window. Tio also got his head stuck in the roof. A bird also shat on Sasha 😃.
UPDATE: Officially the problem has been "fixed". But lets see....we will look for another provider and in case we will be forced to move, we should be able to do so in a day or two.
Our TROM.tf server was flagged by the hosting company as "Abuse: NetscanOutLevel: scansnarf-ng detected Netscan from: We have indications that there was an attack from your server." - and we have a few hours to fix the issue else they are going to shut down the server....
Please be aware of that since the websites may go down and we may have to move to another hosting provider...
This is very bad news but unaware what it can be. Please keep an eye on status.tromsite.com
We will try to update there in case anything happens.

We had a custom search with some JS scanning searx.space/ for best instances to search with. Maybe that was a red flag for the hosting. We have removed that and redirect now to searx.neocities.org. Lets see...
Of course...a bullshit company, like most companies, providing nothing useful for the people and now even putting their personal information (and DNA) at risk. Because you know, other company may buy it and who knows what it does with the data. I have been saying that since the beginning when everyone was so excited about this useless company.
To read the DNA for useful purposes should be the job of entities that do not make a business out of it, but take care of people´s health. This nonsense of "see where you ancestors are from" "see if you are fucking irish or a goblin", is so useless even if accurate, which may not even be.
Anyway, another story of nonsense companies that make people give them their data to then fuck up this information for everyone.
Me & Māra are doing a lot of nature & wildlife protection and conservation work, and need some financial support. This week we participated in 2 actions, the first one was dolphin research expedition in France, 2nd habitat restoration for birds in Slovenia. We have a Patreon page where we share our updates, plans, ideas, behind the scenes and other information. Anyone can support us there starting just from 5 euro per month. And we always produce short documentaries about the work we did, and about amazing project and organizations we are joining. If you think that what we do is important please support us there. patreon.com/c/BeBraveToAct Thank you
Thank you Michael for becoming our new Patreon! Although we primarily rely on the 200 for TROM campaign and the donations that go through it - see tromsite.com/donate - we also have a Patreon patreon.com/c/TROM and Liberapay account liberapay.com/TROM/ .
These accounts were up and running before the 200 for TROM campaign so we decided to not close them. After all we calculate all of the Patreon and Liberapay donations towards the 200 for TROM campaign.
Many thanks to Joshua for becoming our new 200 for TROM supporter! This is so awesome to see people supporting TROM! tromsite.com/donate - We run many services and have a lot of original content that is trade-free for everyone.
Also thank you Nicholas again for donating 10 Euros! Much appreciated.

Cirat was such a wonderful place to be in. Close to the mountains and having access to all facilities we needed, made us stay there for 4 days. We just did not want to leave....
You mean how often we do the laundry? We managed to go 3 weeks before doing it, and we did 2 loads basically...in the next video we explain it all. But if you have a lot of underwear and socks :) then you can delay this task :9
Big thanks to the 200 Euro anonymous donation! Much much appreciated! tromsite.com/donate
We still have an ongoing fundraiser for our backups - gofundme.com/f/paying-for-the-… - we need 40 more Euros. While we can, and we will use some of the money from the latest donation for it in case we do not raise it all, it would be much appreciated if the people who use our services can help us pay for the backups.
Our instances of Friendica, Peertube, Nextcloud, Matrix and more, are used by hundreds if not thousands of people. We are backing up all of their data in the cloud. So please help if you can.

description:
The film follows a litter of 5 puppies at Guide Dogs for the Blind on the quest to become guide dogs. The dogs are born on GDB’s campus to one of their breeder dogs and at two months old they are placed with volunteer puppy raisers to continue basic training. The puppy raisers have the dogs between 14 and 16 months, although puppies can be “career changed” at any point. Throughout this period of time, GDB’s community representatives conduct frequent visits to check in on the puppies’ progress.
Thank you Nicholas for the 15 Euros donation! And this message:
Thank you especially to Alexio and Rokosun for listening to me and letting me vent on Matrix/Element. Fuck this trade-based system, the game we have to play, and the fact that we have to sell ourselves for who knows how long!
