Me and Sasha tested negative for COVID19 today. Yes! Finally. We are over that shit. I still feel not very good but that's because I have a throat infection and hurts like shit. I blame COVID for interfering with that. Anyway....in a few days time I hope to be back to normal in all regards.

BUT hey, if me (the hus-band) were to have had a job for at leas 1 year and currently work, and make at least 1k Euros a month, or had lots of money in my bank account, then they would get her the papers. If not, we have to survive for 3 years in spain, without her working, and then she can get the papers...
So....stay in spain but dont leave! Do not work even if you are poor! Get no financial help! You get the papers only if your hus-band works and makes a lot of money. If you survive for 3 years in spain in these conditions we will give you the papers so you can work.
Wtf is this insane game?
Oh, and if you want to see if we accept you, pay 400 Euros to submit your papers to the gov. And we did. And just got denied. So give us money to check if you have enough money to be able to work and make money. If you do not have enough money you are not allowed to work and make money.
Because, folks, as I've been saying for years now: it is all about that trade. Your value is about trading. If we were good traders, we could have stayed together. But since I chose to do good and honest projects, and provide them as trade-free for anyone, then I have no right to a life in this society.

!Friendica Admins So, how can we do the emoji thing properly in Friendica? What can I, as admin, enable? I tested all addons but they seem to not work. Only the Smiley Unicode transforms certain text into emoji. The rest seem to do nothing.
Smiley Pack - I do not understand what it does. smileybutton - Shows me a list of emojis (this is the best approach in my view) but I cannot select any....seems broken Adult Smilies - again idk what it does.
Would be great to have a way to let users select emoji's from a list. Maybe there is a way, but am not aware of!?
@Tio hmm Friendica relies on the user to use her emotiocons as they like, there is no need for any add-on for it to work. Mobile devices often offer to insert them from the keyboard, at least OpenBoard for Android does. In many Webbrowsers you can use addons to insert emoticons easily.

Mastodon and others allow users to select an emoji from the text composer. I think that's very handy. Installing a browser addon for it is something most people won't do.
Most users do not use Friendica either, but that doesn't mean this needs to be ignored...especially when there isn't any official Friendica client for mobile phones. Mastodon does it right.
I think if you simply type : then some letters you get a dropdown and you can select an emoji... :chick :dolphin :cat :house: :smiling cat with heart-eyes:
So if my instance has all smiley packs enabled and I add some emojis like :hamster :hamster and such, then only the instances that use the same emoji pack are able to translate that into an emoji?

I am starting to feel better. Fuck you covid. Anyway, I worked several hours today to upgrade some websites and stuff like that. My plan: see what money we have this next month and based on that decide if I should start working on TROM II again. Sasha managed to get some "job", tho is not 100% sure. If it is we can push our existence to the next year. I will try to get new websites for WebApe to make, tho is quite impossible to it seems.
In any case, there is a good change I will restart my TROM II work....but I need a few days to recover, do some otehr things like I want to make another TROMjaro video, and so on. Then I can decide. I may create a page for TROM II on tromsite and showcase there some samples from the documentary and ask people to donate if they wanna help out...

The contact form from tromsite.com/contact/ has been restored to the original one. The new one was kinda shitty and flagged most emails as spam. So we would not get any email....the weird thing is that, believe it or not, it is damn impossible to find a good, simple and non-google integrated contact form for WP. This is crazy.
Why does this google shit has to be everywhere? Its crazy how ubiquitous these tech giants are, its almost getting to the point where we can't properly function in society without having one of their accounts!
For contact forms it is this recaptcha spam filter that is owned by google and it is used by the vast majority, almost all, contact wp plugins....they may do a good job at it, but they also inject trackers and collect data...
What websites? Because the contact forms we have are on tromsite.com/contact/ and my website tiotrom.com/contact/ - these use a smartish spam filter in the background. I wish I could find contact forms with simple question based spam filters....
Oh I meant the simple question based spam filter on directory.trade-free.org when you try to submit a new post, I thought you guys were using similar methods for all your websites.....
These goods and services are submitted and reviewed by people like you. We cannot guarantee that all of what you see here is trade-free, since at times it is very difficult to review them all and do so properly.
Are they spam bots ? If you want a more powerful captcha then maybe you can use this open source one - github.com/daniel-e/rust-captc… I believe this is what @LemmyDev uses for account creation and stuff like that.
Probably spam bots....as for implementing that is not as easy ofc....not for me at least. I use WP for a reason: I won't code any website from scratch. I use plugins. I install, tweak, customize. That's my power. Not more than that :D
Fuck you COVID. I got COVID a few days ago and yeah it is like a bad cold. For me it is mostly about having fever daily. A bit of a soar throat and stuffy nose. Am also starting to cough a bit. I am double vaccinated and boosted. But yeah, those are to prevent severe disease. I was not particularly tired tho. In any case I've heard that anyone gets it really and no one cares anymore. It is part of society now. And I've heard experts saying that 2 years ago. Anyway, I am preparing some stuff to announce in like a week or less in regards to TROM. Depends how my COVID manifests.

You can find hundreds of Trade-free linux apps there, all of them are GUI programs and there are screenshots attached for each one. Even though TROMjaro is not my daily driver I sometimes use this service to search for apps like photo editors, video players, etc.

So idk why I haven't used the Wordpress Gutenberg editor more. Seems more legit, almost no ads and bs freemiums, tons of blocks....I have used Elementor to build most websites by now....and that is really useful but tons of "freemium" BS everywhere in the backend of WP. Thta's one thing I dislike about our websites that are built on Wordpress but with many trade-based tools...Maybe in the future I should do a massive cleanup and rebuild all websites using only Gutenberg and trade-free plugins. Maybe I should create a demo WP site and play with that....hm....yeah....

Ok ok....I know, nothing can end up well in a trade-based society. Everything gets traded, and thus marketed. Nothing is what it seems. A drone show is not just a drone show, it is an opportunity to advertise. A book is not just a book, it is an opportunity for the author to buy a new car. A piece of software is not just a piece of software, it is a way for the developer/company to collect more data, to then transform that into currency, to then transform that into holidays, houses, and fancy shit and so on for themselves.
This is the most fundamental thing that everyone should understand about our society, that we are forced and incentivized to trade. Very few people can afford to, or are willing to do things for the sake of doing things. And of course this creates a very messed-up society when you do something in order to get something else. We did that in school where the goal was to get good grades to pass the exams. Most kinds would cheat, not learn anything, because the goal was not to learn. And so it goes for our society...the goal is not to write books, do drone shows to protect the nature, create a PDF converter or whatever. Nah....
So we should not be surprised that everything goes to shit. Pollution, waste, bad products, scammy services....
On a positive note, I'm happy they're getting rid of fireworks, I hated the loud noise, the smoke and everything. I've never seen a drone show before, so it'd be nice to see that one day.
But yeah I knew trade would get in the way, #TradeRuinsEverything - this is why we can't have nice things. So does this mean I have to watch ads in the f**king sky now ?! Why is no one talking about this ?

I bet @Nick @ The Linux Experiment won't say any "bad" words in his family-friendly videos, but is completely ok to showcase a brutal murder/stabbing in a realistic-game. That's fine. Boobs, genitalia, bad! Even if they are in the same digital game-like format. Killing? No issues.
Mind you I do not blame anyone. I am fine with the naked body, and I am not put off by brutal games. But in our society, somehow, nakedness, sex, and the like are so taboo. Youtube will probably take his video down if that scene would have been a sex scene in a similar game.

I get you. But this is more directed to the way society views these. I am glad to hear you do not see any issues with bad words or nudity. I am sure many need to censor these for not having their videos taken down or demonetized.
Its a weird society we live in right ? There are so many such unexplained cultural things in our society, and when you think deeply about such things you understand that there's no real reason for it to be like that except cultural upbringing. I hope that people be more tolerant about these things in the future.

Whenever I'll have some money to buy a new laptop I will never ever buy one in a plastic case. I am tired of gluing it everywhere...I need a metal, durable one. It is a huge waste to make these devices so poorly built because then people throw them away simply because of the casing, not the hardware. My laptop is open 24/7 and I use it at max, so it stays in 1 single place. I almost never close the lid. If I do, I am afraid it will break. It cracks and bends and all that....really shitty quality.
ASUS GL753VD-GC003 - they advertised it as "metal body", but when I got it it was only the top part of the fucking lid hahahaah. I was ok with keeping it since I could not find a cheaper one for those specs.
Yeah...well...you know ads, marketing....these people are not stupid when it comes to selling shit. They are excellent at that. That is, idiots in general, but smart merchants. :D

Here's a positive documentary. Fixing aging is something I am fascinated with. It is perhaps the biggest problem for any human, since we are all dying...the somewhat positive thing is that some humans are working on fixing aging, and there are some very interesting results. I recommend!
