TROM Files now has a wonderful calendar app files.trom.tf - you can even integrate it with your local apps. Import from your trade-based services into this trade free calendar!
Our Friendica is now super fast, same is for our Matrix! So TROM Social and TROM Chat seem to work great now!
We have updated our Friendica but the Network (newsfeed) seems to be slow to load for some accounts. If you experience slowness please let us know. #tromlive
The “Open Roberta® Lab” is a freely available graphical programming platform that makes learning to program easy. On the open source platform of the “Roberta® – Learning with Robots” initiative of Fraunhofer IAIS, even novices create their first programs in no time at all by “drag and drop”.
The special feature: In the Open Roberta Lab, real robots and microcontrollers come to life. “Hands-on”, young programmers learn the basics of coding and playfully discover the countless possibilities that the world of technology and science has in store for them.
- Update our Friendica and test to make sure everything works fine - Move our Peertube storage to an object storage so we free up space on our server. Currently we are at the limit when it comes to storage. Using an object storage allows us to scale up. - Add Pixelfed to our TROM.tf services - Release a new TROMjaro
All of these require a lot of time and resources. So it make take more than just weeks.
If you can support this work and can donate 5 Euros a month, maybe you can join the 200 for TROM tromsite.com/donate/ - currently there are some 30 people supporting us and we only need 170 more to make TROM forever sustainable :)
Our ZDay presentation is now translated into 4 languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Czech and Catalan videos.trom.tf/w/d5wwwrwGD7D3E…
Kudos to the people who are translating these TROM videos without anyone asking them to do so or how to do it. At TROM we work in this decentralized and more emerging style: people can get involved with whatever they can, and do it on their own.
Amazing people. One of them actually, Lenka, we meet at ZDay. She came because of TROM and she quickly became our friend.
Now she made the Czech subtitle for the presentation and she wants to work on the entire TROM II documentary to subtitle it into Czech. Awesome people!
If Jesus or Superman were to exist in today's society, they would not be able to survive just by doing good things, by helping others and so forth. They would have to become social media influencers:
Sell their own shampoo line, advertise for companies...
On 26th of August, 2023, we presented TROM at the annual ZDay event in Prague. This was the last ZDay after a decade long of making them every year.
Our presentation was focused on showcasing in a unique way how our society works and how trade is at the core of most of our issues. In the second half we focused on the positive side: how we and others create trade-free good and services and why this can become a tsunami movement if more of us engage into it, in a decentralized way.
We put a lot of effort into creating a simple narrative and interesting slides with animations, to make it all more fun and easy to understand.
This was the first presentation for Tio and we hope more to follow.

Thank you Maria for the amazing 120 Euro donation! Much much appreciated especially now when I (Tio) had to spend a lot of money to come to Prague for the ZDay! It helps a lot! #tromlive
We will work on the presentation recordings these days and we will make it available soon. These past 2 days were really amazing and have spark new friendships and relationships, and new ideas about what we can do in the future. We may even do a Trade-Free Yearly event, but let's see, it is a raw and wild idea now. #tromlive
The ZDay is over and the reactions we got were really encouraging. We will give you more info and hope to post the recording tomorrow. In the meantime here are some photos:
Tomorrow we are at ZDay in Prague. Tio will present TROM with the focus on why trade is the origin of most problems and why creating trade-free goods and services is so crucial.
We will try to post photos and videos over here to our Friendica page. So stay tuned!

TROM II is now fully translated into Romanian thanks to @Georgi who worked like crazy for the past months to do it.
It is particularly difficult to translate into Romanian because this language comes in 2 main flavors: the official language and the language that people normally speak. And there can be a big difference between the two.
Georgi tried as much as possible to translate in a way that people talk and not in this official robot-like way. She used Kdenlive for the entire translation process.
TROM II: A Message to the Aliens Year: 2023 / Duration: 4 parts, 5 hours We live in a world where everyone is busy, everyone is consumed, everyone seems confused. Money, social credits, ads, data collection, prices and billionaires.
