Sorting rubbish is not the same as recycling. Separating waste at home or at work is only the first step in a much longer process. It helps prevent contamination and makes later treatment possible, but on its own it does not solve the waste problem. Recycling is often presented as a simple solution, yet in practice it is complex and imperfect. Many materials cannot be recycled indefinitely, and some are difficult or expensive to process at all. After sorting, waste must be collected, transported, cleaned, shredded or melted, and then re-manufactured into new products — all of which require energy, water, and infrastructure. Because of these limits, recycling should be seen as one part of a wider strategy rather than a complete answer. Reducing consumption, re-using products, designing goods to last longer, and avoiding unnecessary packaging are usually more effective ways of cutting environmental impact. Recycling remains valuable, but it works best when it comes after efforts to prevent waste in the first place.

Hello in a new 2026 !
That's a super calm, almost like a lake Baltic sea. I was on a short trip in Latvia. IT was super freezing there, temperature was between -10 and -15 degrees. + I am applying for some grants. I hope to receive at least 1 tiny grant this year. otherwise it's getting harder and harder keep going.

It sucks...I wish I can say more but there isnt much to say. Even if you cant continue like that, maybe you can scale it down and focus on projects that are closer to you so you dont have to spend on traveling.

I installed this on my laptop last weekend. I've never installed an OS before and it took a few tries. Kept failing at the very end with the bootloader. I found your logs of the same problem, and finally got it to work. So far I like it. Some things are taking some time to figure out, but I'm getting there. I very much like the aesthetic.

It’s a great place to visit by car, bike, or motorhome 🙂 You can drive through this vast semi-desert landscape for hours, admiring the canyons, plateaus, and unique hills and structures shaped by wind and water. We first saw these structures in a documentary with Brian Cox called Solar System - you can watch it here videoneat.com/documentaries/26… - We looked it up and found it to be in Spain! Well worth a visit! ;)

When our water heater stopped working we felt like it was a big big deal. Of course not having hot running water is a very uncomfortable situation. But we reinvented our shower to have hot running water. A better system that is 100 times more reliable than the water heater.
Funny enough when we started to make the video about the new solution, our water heater came back from the dead and started working. Even so I, Tio, still prefer our new shower solution that anyone can actually setup in any van probably.
It costs 50 Euros and you need a water pump, a collapsible bucket, and a kettle.

Busy crazy world eh!? Flooded by idiocracy, corruption, power hungry monkeys. Consuming and being consumed.
This year will try my best to publish some videos for TROM. I have been busy, demotivated, and tired lately. This world is so upside down it makes no sense to even mention that. It is obvious. And for those that isn't, they are too deep into brain rot to probably be saved.
Anyway,
Will be traveling with the motorhome for the next weeks. I need to also have a hernia surgery in february or so. And will try my best to create new content for TROM because in the end it is for myself, to keep me sane in this fucked up world.
I am looking forward to the total solar eclipse this year. The outside universe is still the only thing that I deeply enjoy and look "up to" :). I can fantasize that there are other worlds out there, better than ours.
Sure there must be worse worlds. But ours really sucks. Everyone is a slave to the trade society, mentally and physically. Bunch of ants that all they know is to trade this for that. Make profit, sell, lie, deceive, destroy.
