I've been working on updating a decision making process in a #coop from #voting to #consensus inspired by #ietf #decisionMaking process when a colleague made me realize that consensus process is not compatible with many #neurodivergent cognitive styles. It disproportionately favors #Neurotypicals and extraverted ppl while putting more introverted and less verbal type people at a disadvantage. Also it's yet another "social capital" dominated decision making process. Less social capital - less likely you'll actually speak up against the crowd.

The "no one left behind" goal is not fulfilled by the "no loud opposition" decision process. What process does that? We're staying with the simplistic voting for now but adding a prolonged debate. Any ideas? How other #cooperatives do that? Especially #anarchist ones?

Friend is looking for somewhere they could pay for hosting and maintaining some services for them. "Google Docs", "Google Drive", wiki, some "Jira" (project tracking), email would be nice. "Some family and friends" usage type.
Option of "move to my hardware, you still maintain it" preferred.
Co-op or such preferred.
EU strongly preferred, except FR and UK (they like to flex against people keeping secrets from them).

Hey fediverse! If you've chatted to me in the last year or so (or, frankly, if you've passed within earshot) you'll have heard me talking about the main project I'm part of currently: Perennial Housing Co-op.

We're trying to start a new housing coop in NE London, as part of the @RadicalRoutes network, to be a home for 6-10 people. Our hope is that this will be a solid base (providing stable, affordable, community-controlled housing) for community support and activism.

We're raising money currently, and we've just extended our loanstock offer until the end of August.

There's a whole bunch of terms and concepts which might not be familiar to folks, so this is an invite to reply to this post with all questions! AMA! 🙋⁉️
