1 of May, Workers' Day...
Many humans, all obey
Trade their way
In this system they are prey,
Celebrations on the way!
Hey Hey Hey:)

This society is still primitive since it relies on everyone to trade, be a worker. Else you are fucked. There should be no celebrations about that. This trade based society has to go. Makes no sense anymore and transforms us into mindless robots.

And now from the window of a four-wheeled cab the Queen of Babylon beheld the wonders of London. Buckingham Palace she thought uninteresting; Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament little better. But she liked the Tower, and the River, and the ships filled her with wonder and delight.

“But how badly you keep your slaves. How wretched and poor and neglected they seem,” she said, as the cab rattled along the Mile End Road.

“They aren’t slaves; they’re working-people,” said Jane.

“Of course they’re working. That’s what slaves are. Don’t you tell me. Do you suppose I don’t know a slave’s face when I see it? Why don’t their masters see that they’re better fed and better clothed? Tell me in three words.”

“The realistic threat chain looks like this. An attacker exploits a known WordPress plugin vulnerability and gets shell access as www-data. They run the copy.fail PoC. They are now root on the host. Every other tenant is suddenly reachable, in the way I walked through in this hack post-mortem. The vulnerability does not get the attacker onto the box; it changes what happens in the next ten seconds after they land there.”

And so it begins.

Chrome is shipping a Prompt API - giving websites access to the browser's built-in LLM.

This is the scope creep I wrote about... websites can now pass your page content, inputs and browsing context to an AI baked into the browser itself.

A thumbs up. A shy smile. Two bowls of snacks, This is happiness in Gaza right now.

Not a toy. Not a trip. Just a few colourful rings in a bowl — and these kids are glowing.

Children shouldn't have to glow over a snack. But here we are.

And here they are — still smiling. Still full of light despite everything.

Help us keep that light alive:

Today we launched code.overheid.nl: the NL government-wide code platform 🥳🥳

Code.overheid.nl is a pilot in which we are going to test @forgejo; an open source and sovereign alternative to GitHub/GitLab.

This is an initiative of @BZKopensource, in collaboration with our friends from team DAWO (SSC-ICT), @opensource , @developer , and a number of participating government orgs. 🤝

@tomootes from developer.overheid wrote a nice piece about it: developer.overheid.nl/blog/202…

We gaan samen code.overheid.nl bouwen | developer.overheid.nl

Bluetti VS Custom Power System - videos.trom.tf/w/86uzfqsAHh86C…

This is the final video about our power system. Since we use 2 completely different and independent power systems, I thought we are in an ideal position to compare the two since we always switch between them.

On one hand we have a Bluetti AC180 power unit connected to 260W of solar, on the other we have a custom built power system with 2x100Ah 12V EcoWorthy batteries, a Victron 100/50 MPPT, and a 1000W inverter - all connected to 650W of solar power.

We will compare the specs, the costs, the reliability, upgradability and repairability.

The Dungeon of Dark Patterns

Sources and bonus timelapse: peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantas…

#webcomic #krita #miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. The adventurer and his fairy are in front of the door of a nightmarish dungeon, it's dark, foggy, and the inside the door we can't see anything except a deep red light. > Dungeon: "Welcome adventurers, to the Dungeon of Dark Patterns!"
Panel 2. In one room of the dungeon, a giant beautiful and inviting door with a red carpet, and on the side, in the shadow a too little door. Writing on big door: Go to the trap, on small door: Go to the treasure. The adventurer crouch and do a little sign to the fairy to follow him to the little door. > Dungeon: "Ha ha, you're good!"
Panel 3. The aventurer is now putting some effort climbing on an old rope in the middle of a room with a beautiful luxuous stairway with a red carpet on the side. A sign tells "GO TO THE TREASURE but pass by the trap" in direction of the beautiful stairs; and "(other options)" in small and in the shadow in direction of the rope. > Dungeon: "Impressive!"
Panel 4. Top down view on the adventurers shrugging in front of the fairy, they reached a dead end. A short path on the right has on the ground the word "Now", and a longer path "Later". Both lead to a giant pool of green acid where bones and skulls are floating. > Dungeon: "So, when do you want to jump to the trap?"

Motorhome Power System: 6 Mistakes - videos.trom.tf/w/9bivUa41wQJYf…

These are the biggest mistakes I made with our power system for the motorhome. So far nothing too severe, but these mistakes are the reason why we ended up with such a complex power system.

From buying the wrong power station to blowing up the car relay, these are the mistakes I made 😄.

Another reason to hate #Apple We're seeing more 2018+ MacBook Pro/Air donations — but Apple's T2 chip means even after iCloud sign-out and reset, the firmware stays locked to the original account.

Without donor contact, these machines are useless. :(

I've upcycled ~1,000 older Macs, but T2 era machines will end that. It's controlling, creates e-waste, and will only get worse. #righttorepair matters — Apple couldn't care less.

@Aaron @argv_minus_one @bigzaphod of course its complicated.. But I think apple is partially responsible here because.

1. They really dont make it clear to the average user how to "release" the device before selling or giving it away. Feels like they're purposely making it hard.

2. The device remains locked even if the original owner removes the device from their apple account. There should be a workflow so a user can release the device remotely after the fact.
