Thanks for the replies. Tio - it's not a question of volume - I can hear what people say. For me it's sensory overload that comes from music in the background when people are talking. I can't speak for people who are hard of hearing or neurodivergent and how the volume impacts them.
Hard to know how to deal with this. I tried to make the music not too loud but anyone can lower it down and put the captions....it is the best I could do.

The most dramatic moment for me was when they went to buy an island and told the local people that their going to build a hospital for them. When in fact their own people planned to evict all of them from that island. That was very sad...

My experience with getting a driving license here in Spain has been terrible. Started in December last year. Passed the exam in English in February - absolutely terrible translations. Waited till the end of May to start the driving classes. Did 16 hours so far. Insanity squared. They are absolutely draconian with how you have to drive. From how you have to use the pedals, change the gears, or hold the steering wheel - in the exact way they tell you; to how you have to drive in this absolutely perfect way.
I can't properly explain to you now how fucked up it is, but I tell you this: not a single person drives like this. None. Not even the instructor. And she 100% agrees with that. She tells us that she teaches us how to pass the driving exam, that's all.

And even if I get it, it takes around 3-4 months to give you the driving license.

If I knew....I would have never started this. If anyone thinks to do their driving license in Spain, you must love to torture yourself. Never do it. Go to another tribe that can do licenses exchange with Spain, and do it there. Will cost you less and you won't have a heart attack.
If the "authorities" are worried that children watch too much porn and these kids then try to porn-themselves-out for pleasure, causing issues since they don't understand that most porn is fake, then for sure forcing people to verify their age when accessing some porn websites will make these kids think twice before accessing any of the millions of worldwide porn websites....
How about you make the life of kids, and people overall, more relaxing? How about you don't force the kids to go to school and parents to go to work, just to survive? When the human being is busy 8 hours a day, or more, 5 days a week, or more, with mandatory tasks (school/job), in a society based on trade (consumption), then the easiest and most familiar way to get some "fun" are shallow, fast things. Fast food, fast fashion, fastly-made and dumbed-down media, fast sexual pleasure (watch some porn), and so forth. No time for anything meaningful.
The real question is will the adults accept this verification process? This just sounds like a privacy nightmare! 😐
IMO the biggest issue with porn is that it's so fake and unrealistic, and that's not in itself a problem but it becomes one if the person watching thinks it's real. I've heard somewhere that watching porn and thinking it's real sex is like is like watching martial arts on TV and thinking that's how a real fight looks like, lol 😂 Maybe the real solution here is proper sex education, something to think about..... 🤔

I feel good going deep into these topics....keeps me sane and more educated. And I like it.
What I don't like, of course, is the fact that I don't find a place for me in this society and I can't really afford to spend many many months, make a great book, then put it for free, and expect to also survive in this bullshit society. That I am struggling with. I've always had. Says all I have to know about how fucked up this society is.
But anyway, I have survived while TROMing for the past 14 or so years, I will probably survive a few more years :).
You should survive man. I like your books. I think I've red almost all of them. Videos might be very cool too, but the amount of work and effort is much more. It's like anyway to create a book first (to make a script) and then film and edit it and put some nice b-roll and extra shot. Massive amount. Sometime me and Mara speaking about how you regardless to anything keep going. Seems always you find a motivation somewhere. I know you told me this many times that you just immerse yourself in work and that's helps you regardless the outcome and results. But still man, you are badass just keeping yourself motivated going trough this fucked up society.
I am loosing it so often, because quite often everything you are doing seems so pointless, and no one really care. And each time it's harder and harder to get up and keep going, because what we do is important. It is important nevertheless what society and our culture find valuable or not.
Recently I noticed you are more frustrated, I hope you will get trough this period. Just keep going man.
I'd say the two are a lot of work but in different ways. Designing a book, proofreading, sourcing, and making huge books overall, takes so much time as you know. But yah, will see probably that's why I am very frustrated and depressed this period of time since I am not busy with the things I love doing. However I started to write again and that makes me feel a lot better.
Thanks for the support and for continuing with your stuff. Like I told you before I thought you'd give up in less than a year. You exceeded all of my expectations and thats great :). It is damn hard to get 0 support from the society for the things that you do, plus the almost impossibility to reach people nowadays.
I am sure that after this bullshit season is over, in about 3 months, things will be a lot better for me/us. You know how crazy this little town is in the summer....but it is the last summer here for us, so at least that makes it easier to deal with it.
