Azagra - a nice little town where we found freacking Carl Sagan:). So impressed to see that they make these astronomical observation points in some parts of Spain and how they add these info panels about the stars, Moon, cosmos and in this case Carl Sagan. Instead of a flag, we should put a telescope, like Sasha said 😃.

Instead of celebrating nonsense nationalistic events, we should celebrate our real story of evolution, the place in the universe, and so on.

Instead of a flag, we should put a telescope, like Sasha said :).

Instead of celebrating nonsense nationalistic events, we should celebrate our real story of evolution, the place in the universe, and so on.

We were able to finally move our entire TROM.tf to a new server. Some 2-3TB of data.

Old server: i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 8 cores, 32GB RAM, 2 x 1.8TB SSD. 46 Euros a month.
New one, same CPU but 1 x 1TB SSD + 2 x4TB HDD. 54 Euros a month.

We are using the HDDs as one, around 7.5TB of storage in total, for storing the data for Peertube and Nextcloud. This allows us to expand the storage for these ones 2-3 times more than on the previous server. Retrieving data from HDDs in this case is totally fine and we see no slow down of these services.

Thanks to that we enabled one more resolution, 480p, for our Peertube instance. 3 in total now. Will only be available for the newly uploaded videos.

We also have a new IP so emails can reach Gmail from our server, finally...but we have disabled "import with URL" for our Peertube to protect this IP from getting banned.

Overall it was a very difficult process to move to the new server and our TROM Git still cannot be restored....we need to fix that. We need to also keep an eye on the other services and make sure all works well.

We were able to move to a new server thanks to the donations we got recently. Thank you!

We are paying some 8 Euros more a month now for the new one, but it is worth it.

Anyway, enjoy trom.tf and stay tuned because we will offer more storage space for our Nextcloud soon! :) For anyone who wants ;)

As some of you may know, at our last project in Hungary I felt down from the canoe :)
(It was my stupid fault - sorry Max :) ) Max was with me in it at that time.
We were all soak wet, but while falling I lost my tiny camera which was attached to my chest.
I couldn't find it anymore, so it stayed there in Hungary, ehh, more plastic in the water.

Anyway because of support on Patreon I was able to order a new one. It was actually first time I took money from Patreon account and I ordered a replacement camera. The good thing I lost only 1 half of the camera :) So I have to order only this part which is black in the picture. And the white one is camera controller from my original camera.

So it's arrived this week, I paid 250 euro just for that tiny black thingy - half of camera. But it's very essential for the videos I do, and i like how small and easy to attach it is (and easy to lost:))

Anyway without people donating and supporting Be Brave To Act, I wouldn't be able to replace this camera. So Thank you everyone!

September Updates :
It's been quiet I was editing feature documentary and now will start editing Albania project about sharks by-catch. Because of the bad weather all the time I had to cancel 2nd trip there.
Also Mara's back was injured so we have to stay at home, but now she is doing much better and recovering, so everything will be fine with her.

Next week we are going to Warsaw Poland, Mara will be doing vocal workshops there, and I will join some local clean up actions because next weekend is a World Clean Up Day! So all around the world millions of people are going out to clean the environment, you can also find some local clean ups in your area if you want. worldcleanupday.org/

Then week after we are going to Croatia I am trying to arrange a project there with cat sharks, we have to scuba dive to deep places and monitor shark eggs. But I am not sure if it's going to happen, but we are going to Croatia anyway, if not this project I will try to join some other.
That's the plan for September.
