Damn kdnelive....so Kdenlive got an update and made past projects not quite compatible with the new version....and some of the videos in my kdenlive are messed up. Tried to fix it and debug....but need to check it all. I mean I can fix it, it will take me 1-2 hours, but this is scary....becuase I work on a many hours documentary with thousands of clips. If it messes up with the project like that then....do I need to check it all? All the time? idk...not good....
But I started with Kdenlive so I will continue. It also takes 10-15 minutes for the project to open now. Sucks...

Here's another idea about how we can deal with our Peertube instance that's invaded by idiots. Mind you, I really want to keep it trade-free. meaning, you should not give us anything in order to use it. Not your data, your freedom, your money and so forth.
My idea is to make it thematic. Like Peertube was intended to be. Theme: Science and Technology. A trade-free video platform for science and technology videos. This way we keep it trade-free and honest. And the moderation would be much easier. Conspiracy videos, politics, porn, movies, all will be removed since they do not fit on our instance. We can extend it to: Science, Technology, and Nature. So that people can post an array of saner videos.
This way we make our instance saner, free-up a lot of space, and so forth. #tromlive
I insisted with that invidious issue and contacted the dev and such, so now they managed to look closely and identify the issue. Soon invidious should work again. See? Although I do not have the skills to help them code-wise, I can still be of a great help to report these problems to them. Anyone can do that. #tromlive

Long story short, Peertube has this weird way of approaching live streaming. By default your stream will not be stored. Which is very odd and quite stupid since I would always expect that if I do a live, that live will be stored. Else why do I do it? And they also do not make it obvious at all. This is what you see when you create a live:
Nowhere it alerts you about that option. Normally after you add a title, description and how you want it to be: public, private, etc. You click done/publish. And when you ready for the Live you can click the video's options and grab the live into such as the secret key:
Again, no mention that the live won't be stored.
So, you have to know to go to the Live Settings tab when you are first creating the live, and select "Automatically publish a replay when your live ends"....
This is really confusing. For one, why isn't that setting in the popup of the Live Info (see picture 2)? Second, why isn't the live stored by default and you can opt out of that? This way if you forgot to opt in for the deletion of the live after its ended, you can always delete the video. But if I forget to select to store it, then I'm fucked.
More to that, the wording is super weird. In my mind the first option called "This is a permanent live" sounds like this live will be stored. Permanent - stays there. The wording is weir I swear. Maybe is just me but I complained to Peertube a while ago about this.
Anyways....I made a short story long. In the end it is my fault for not paying attention. I should have also recorded locally via OBS, but I was worried my computer will be slow down. But for sure Peertube does this very weirdly and backwards.
I tried to recover the files somehow. Only managed to recover some 18 minutes from @Alexio computer....need to properly merge that together....
Well invidious experiences some issues but I am talking with the developers so maybe they will find a fix....I can fix it from time to time tho...to keep it functional. Ok, I have 2 read 2 science papers before our live and prepare a bit ;). Am kinda tired but....we should go live in 3 or so hours. #tromlive

Interesting documentary about this Canon people and how this Q came into existence. It is ridiculous and stupid. I liked the part where we discuss about 4chan and 8chan and the challenge of not moderating a website based on user content. I recommend!

@Tio It isn't really an easy choice! On one side your hard drive is not endlessly big (here 423 GB are free, but I need space for backups and @Nextcloud ) but on the other side you are against "censorship" (how about CTs, anti-vaxxer and so, let them publish somewhere else?).
Yeah, not really an easy choice. But for me, it would be simple: No public registration, I add accounts on my decision (personally known to me).
Peertube is designed, as far as I understand, in this fashion to become your personal instances where you let your friends post. And the more such friendly houses full with friends, and them being connected, the more videos and saner. That's the hope. And I can now better understand this thinking, since I have to deal with these issues. It is for sure an idea to only create accounts for friends. But then this won't be a public instance, it will be a personal one. And my goal was to create public instances....
Copyright is an idea I do not fully accept to be honest. Everything is a remix in the end, and copyright is abused beyond belief. In my book of reasoning, if the content is meant for educational purposes then it can use any sort of materials it does not "own". I will continue to do so and source all of the materials used, and try not to use a lot of the original content of course. You may not agree, but I also do not understand this weird online world where content can be replicated billions of times and yet we try to enforce this idea of property and copyright. I create a lot of original materials, and add no conditions attached to them. Use any way you want them. I still have a copy ;).
I finished (I guess) our Invidious instance theme ytb.trom.tf/ - I only have enabled the dark theme and deleted the switch-to-light-theme button for now, until I have some time to do it later on. Idk if this themes is optimized for mobile phones, but you may know by now that I do not care about it :D. When there will be a functional Linux phone then I will optimize all websites for mobile.
I will also try to move from gitlab to our own gitlab instance and allow anyone to use it. But this will happen whenever I have the time this month.
No more work on TROM II today. Too tired to consume myself over that. May work tomorrow, may not. Will see. Need not to rush with it. #tromlive
I finally made a good Invidious theme that I like. Spent a few hours doing it. Just the dark theme mind you and may not be 100% done. Will try to do the white one tomorrow.

Invidious is awesome but the way it looks is just awful :D. Looked like 1992. At least in my view. I feel like open source projects need not to focus 100% on the software and how it works, but also User Interface. And sure many do, but at times maybe they don't. Also, again, I may be wrong since this is subjective.
