Kiwix
Kiwix is an offline reader – meaning that it allows you to browse text or video that is normally only available on the internet. We turn various online contents (such as Wikipedia, for example) into ZIM files, and these can be opened by Kiwix even if you have no connectivity.
Our technology’s main advantage is its high compression rate. For instance, the entirety of Wikipedia (more than 6 million articles, with images) can fit in 80Gb. The Gutenberg Library’s 60,000 books will fit on 60 Gb of storage space.

Our Peertube instance (the youtube trade-free alternative) supports automatic video imports videos.trom.tf - meaning you can select your youtube, vimeo and so forth channels, and it will auto-sync with your peertube. The video, description, tags, and so forth will be auto-uploaded. How awesome!
We've also limited the resolution to Full HD as maximum. Everything else makes little to no sense and it is usually an overkill unless you have a huge screen that supports 2k or 4k native resolutions. We are also limited in terms of disk space...so it makes no sense to allow 3 minute 4k uploads that are 1GB. That's insanity.
Anyway, feel free to use our instance. We provide unlimited uploads. #tromlive

A very important TROMjaro Release forum.tromjaro.com/t/tromjaro-…
We worked a lot to make it so much easier from now on to keep your TROMjaro updated without making manual changes like you had to do before. This is mostly thanks to the wonderful @Roma and @Rokosun who did a wonderful job.
ENJOY! #tromlive

We are getting closer and closer to releasing a new TROMjaro ISO that will come with some really useful features for every TROMjaro user. In short, the changes we usually recommend for people to do (most of them at least) for each of our release, will be now pushed by us to everyone automatically. Thanks to @Roma and @Rokosun for the great work they've done for these past days.
As soon as we release this new TROMjaro ISO, the focus will shift once again on the TROM II documentary.
TROM is alive. And it has been since 2011. And we will continue to be. We plan a new TROM Meeting for the next year. We will let you know more details towards the end of this year. #tromlive

Tio:
The wonderful Roma (a very special TROM-friend) is visiting us.
On top of having a great time together and very interesting discussions, we worked on TROMjaro these days a lot. We will release a new ISO soon that brings something we truly needed: packages for our scripts. We have a bunch of scripts for fixes, and for the layout and theme switcher. Now we won't have to ask the current TROMjaro users to do this or that change, everything will be directly pushed by us. We also fixed a few things and such.
We achieved a wonderful synchronization for theming. Basically now the theme, the icon pack, and the font sync across apps: GTK, GTK+Libadwaita, QT, QT5, QT6, flatpaks that accept theming. So awesome!
But the best part is that we can now improve these packages and push updates automatically to all users. Stay tuned for the release! And thank you Roma for being such a good human. A true human being :). #tromlive

Activists today throw seeds on cement. And they expect flowers to bloom. It cannot. We need a fertile soil first!
We need to provide humans with their basic needs as trade-free so they can bloom. So they can have the time to get involved, choose what to focus on, relax, have time to be educated and educate.
Nothing will work unless we do that.
TROM is trying hard to create a fertile soil, granted only in the digital world (for now). We provide books, videos, documentaries, software, services...a lot to create a fertile soil, to then plant some seeds.

Currently the following websites have been "fixed" for mobile screens, so that they look ok on these tiny devices:
- tromsite.com/
- tromnews.com/
- videoneat.com/
- tromjaro.com/
- trom.tf/ (but not the individual services)
- trade-free.org/ and directory.trade-free.org/
We mainly have to fix our TROM.tf services, individually....that could take some time... #tromlive

According to the-federation.info/friendica our social.trom.tf Friendica instance, is the 7th Friendica instance in terms of total users, and the 3rd in terms of monthly active users.
That's great! We are only one and a half years old or so. We will continue to grow and overall Friendica gained almost double the users in the past year.
It is still a drop in the ocean, but adds to the big fediverse network. Happy to see that. Please join us! #tromlive
