We are getting it ready for our South of Spain adventures, and overall to start the "journey". I managed to seal the entire roof to make sure it is as water proof as possible, we added 2 more solar panels and these days will add one more (so it will be a total of 650W of solar power - huge); and finally we put our satellite internet so we have unlimited internet everywhere basically, allowing me to work on our TROM projects :).
We spend our time near a river, in nature. But have worked pretty much every day on the motorhome. Lots of little things to do.

I did not have the time or motivation to film too much but we will make more videos about our TROMhome adventures. I plan to paint the motorhome this year and put some big stickers on it about our projects. I hope to also volunteer a bit in the offline world and make videos about.

As for the TROM projects I will give them some love starting this next month, maybe towards the end of it. Lots of ideas, and lots to do. Having unlimited internet anywhere is absolutely fantastic for me.

We do not have many clothes and stuff, but this tiny motorhome has a lot of storage space so we could fit more than we thought. We also love our top bed - spacious and does not take any space from the living area. 😃

How much food can we store in this tiny 5.5 meters long motorhome? Despite being so small, we can store food for (maybe) weeks in this tiny house. Our fridge is small but actually super spacious, and Sasha managed to organize the food really well and compact 😃. On top of that this is the only motorhome that we've seen with an oven, which is super great!
Honestly, this is the worst open letter I've ever read. It lacks maturity and professionalism. It's full of snarky comments and a tone that doesn't encourage an adult conversation. He had the chance to show Meta is the one acting like a child, but instead he made himself sound like one. And that's sad.

I believe texts get better when we step aside for a few cycles and not let ourselves be driven by the highness of attention. Zuckerberg has never been what you describe. There is no grassroots moral origin we could jumpstart in the back of his memory. It is historically evident that Facebook, later meta has frequently chosen the unethical paths when they had choice to. There is no ancient ideal to appeal to. No renaissance can happen.

When facebook started afaik it was not about connecting people, it was about rating women. (so I highly doubt Zuck ever wanted to "make the internet better" and I wouldn't open a door to this guy under any circumstances.) That aside the open letter of course is nice.
Awesome, but the one catch here is that he probably didn't develop (with other people, not alone) Facebook for idealistic reasons. It's more likely that he wanted to get laid, and help other horny college dudes get laid. The original Facebook has been credibly accused of being a stalking app, and I find that very easy to believe. Nothing he's done has indicated to me that he actually gives a shit about users, and nothing he says has any meaning for me without evidence to back it up.
I noticed something similar a year or so ago. Any time I would share photos of my kids with family members or whatever, I would create a public share link to the album on my Nextcloud server, with an expiration date, and then share that link on Facebook. All of a sudden one day I started noticing that the posts would get deleted a few minutes after I posted them, then they started blocking me from posting the links outright.
To be honest I would be really surprised if this was on purpose and not a malfunction of their spam filters. Pixelfed isn't in the same ballpark as Instagram, struggling to think how having a company policy to filter out its links would be worth the bad publicity - for basically no reason.

Surreal documentary that at times feels like it is a movie because such things should not happen in the real world....the people in Gaza have been massacred by the Israeli military. Instead of floating these fantasy ideas around we should keep it simple and reasonable: all people need access to a basic life without any strings attached. Then they can have some autonomy and get involved into all sorts of things. Become engineers, doctors, write for Wikipedia, do open source software, volunteer and so forth. Free people from this primitive trade society, and let them grow. Like creating a fertile soil to be able to grow flowers.
That's what we need. Therefore basic and good services, regardless of the party or leaders. Good healthcare, housing for all, access to education and food, access to free transport, and our basic needs. The rest will emerge out of this good environment.

If you have no phone signal, thus no Internet, then no one can fix/update any of our websites....but with a satellite internet we can stay connected anywhere basically.
For example when we release a new TROMjaro ISO that is 4-5GB that needs to be uploaded in 2 different places (so around 10GB) and to make sure they upload correctly. So a good and reliable internet connection is a must for us in the motorhome.
