The US Secretary of Defense is authorizing DOD civilian employees at any grade level to take a temporary, paid "voluntary force" assignment with DHS and ICE. The temporary roles would help to arrest, detain, and deport people. The posting is open for a year:
In case not clear: this is a green light for a domestic immigration control agency to expand its workforce by removing employees from a global military agency. This is NOT how Congress allocates budget for agencies, workforce, salaries, and activities, as provided in the US Constitution, Article I.
