We are in the south of Spain now and we will take it easy. We drive like 60km every other day, so we can get to see some nice places and relax more.
And as much as I like cool places, I also LOVE to stay somewhere where we have access to water/amenities for the motorhome, where is no one, and is nice enough so I can focus on my computer work!

We have our batteries quite full, the fridge is full, water infinite, unlimited satellite internet. And now I am working on TROMjaro, will add new stuff to VideoNeat, and will work to make more videos for TROMhome. For me, this is super relaxing. :)

You are using an rss feed app? You have an option in the app to export all the rss feed you have in the app to OPML file (github.com/plenaryapp/awesome-…) and Share it with pepole
On top of our custom themes now our Friendica (social.trom.tf) also has this BookFace theme for those who want a more "facebook" like experience in terms of looks.

This is a very short post to tell you that we have finally updated our Discourse forum to the latest. For the past year (or more) the Yunohost package for Discourse (what we use) was quite broken and we ended up having an entire separate server just or the forum since we could not update the server itself because of it. Therefore we had an old forum on an old server.
Now we managed to do some gymnastics and move it to our main server and update it. Finally! From now on I hope there will be no more such issues.
I was willing to even give up on all of our forum posts, accounts and comments just to be able to update it and not pay for a separate server for it.
But now all is good. All is fixed apparently.

used to pump ours out of a garden sprinkler - smelled kinda bad if it'd been sitting in the tank for awhile. Solution is sub-surface drip irrigation line made for grey water. Put a couple of filters in prior to the underground pipe to prevent blockages - no smell, no having to move the sprinkler around, green lawn. Using detergent without sodium is important.
Living in a motorhome is no small feat, I don't think I could live this lifestyle even tho I like the idea of being able to travel with your home. Having to deal with water would be my biggest hurdle for sure, I need lots of water lol 😂
I bet Sasha loves it tho, she can finally travel again 😄 And hopefully you can adapt over time let's see..... 🤞
@futureisfoss For sure, such a big change, and changes are always so difficult! Considering it can take weeks sometimes just to rebalance my gut, I guess it will take some time to adjust your body, but surely you will get there in time 🤗
I got more used to it since we made that video actually. Now we are parked in a super nice location in the mountains. Access to water for free and all that. Yes Sasha really likes it :)

So, to download the updates to create the ISO is no problem. To compile the ISO itself, also not an issue because we have a lot of power. But to upload 2 ISOs, each of around 4.7Gb was really time consuming. So much so I had to leave the Internet and Laptop on over night.
But it worked and they uploaded. They only ate 30% of our battery capacity overall. Something we can easily put back with solar this next day.
This is our view from a really nice parking lot for motorhomes where you get free water and water disposal facilities :)
We can also charge one of our batteries while we drive with like 500W so in 2 hours we can fully charge one of our batteries just from driving, and we plan to drive for almost 2 hours today.
Therefore, the test was great! Because even if the upload speeds are shit, I can leave the laptop overnight to upload large files.
This will be our home and it will take us to many new places, meeting many new people and projects. We will talk to people about TROM, try to organize talks and meetings, volunteer for all sorts of...
We needed a ladder because the one that is attached to the motorhome is really not that good and useful. This is the last video in this series of "motorhome done", just to complete the tour 😃. Next videos will be a lot more interesting 😃.
Ok so this can be a challenge in a motorhome but we think we found a good way to deal with the toilet situation. We are using a "dry" cheap toilet and so far so great!
From what I know to "compost" it will take weeks or months, so not practical inside of a motorhome. Perhaps if you dispose your waste in a landfill where it can be "composed".
You know, to be able to take a hot shower in a 5.5 meters long home, is quite something. And to have the comfort to do it in a way that feels like just a normal house. For us it was very important to get a motorhome that has a proper bathroom. But we had to also fix a bunch of things with this bathroom...
We will release a new TROMjaro ISO soonish. I know I know Manjaro pushed a lot of updates lately and we lag behind but we are almost done with our TROMhome earthship :) - been super busy with that. And once that is done, I think next week, all of the TROM projects will get constant love :)
We went to Cyprus in January to join a research of Marine protected area. It's the only nesting site for Green Turtles in whole European Union. And surprisingly large and wild area. Hopefully it will stay like that for many years to come
It is a delight to see people registering to our Friendica almost daily.
And yes these are not bots. Since we "force" anyone who register to tell us why they want to be part of our network (to filter out the bots), I can tell that those who register are not garbage pieces of "AI", but real and interesting humans who are also interested in our TROM project.
