We need help with our 200 for TROM Campaign - tromsite.com/donate/ - we have a bit over 40% of the needed support. We only accept 5€ a month donations to not have to rely on a few individuals donating more money. We need to make this sustainable.

Unfortunately the support over the past months has dropped a little bit. So if you can, please support us.

On the same page you can see what you are supporting. We hope this year to bring new projects to TROM, although it is terribly difficult to do so when you can't even get the minimum support needed to run the current projects.

We have been resilient since 2011 so we will not give up, but the ones who see value in such projects need to support them at least a little bit in order for these projects to survive.

Isla del Zujar is probably a popular place in the summer, but off season it is totally deserted. And no phone service at all. But we had plenty of solar power and satellite internet so we could stay for many days there. It was very relaxing, quiet, dark, and some hiking places near by. So nice!

Getting stuck in the most beautiful place - videos.trom.tf/w/bxTbZkK2TYaUY…

Masatrigo looks like a volcano, but it is just a beautifully shaped hill with a roundabout around it. It looks so cool from afar, and the entire area is actually super beautiful. But it has been raining in Spain for many weeks and the soil/grass was very wet. We parked in a not so very steep place, but it was enough to get us totally stuck.

Luckily a very nice old man came to our rescue.

So there is a massive power outage in Spain and Portugal right now. No phone service, no Internet, no "modern" life :D. The cause is unknown - euronews.com/my-europe/2025/04…

What is funny is that we are in the mountains in spain with our TROMhome and we had no clue about any of these. We are fully offgrid in terms of power.

We have lots of solar panels, enough batteries, and satellite internet. So we are all good.

Perhaps we are indeed ready for an apocalypse. Waiting for it here in Picos de Europa :)

IMPORTANT!

We will remove our Matrix server in a week time (4th of May). Here's why?

In short: the service has become hard to manage and bots (likely) have taken advantage of our kindness spamming other rooms/users. Because of that our hosting provider wanted to shut down our entire TROM.tf server. Hard to deal with all that and with a huge 300GB database. On top of this anyone can make an account with matrix.org or other instances.

Playa de la Colada, el Viso. A nice looking recreational area, pretty quiet off season, but the water was contaminated and was full of dying fish! A little bit eerie but otherwise a nice place. In the last photo you can see how flooded it was after all this rain.

Oh and we also found mold under our bed! 😯

PLAYA DE LA COLADA: This was a beautiful yet kinda creepy place because we found a LOT of fish dying and it looked really weird. Not a water you want to go swim into. We solved the mystery later on when we red more about the place... Except that, we had a good time there and the scenery was really nice. We even did some nigthtime timelapse.

Trapped in a storm for many days


Several storms hit Spain for almost a month. Raining, clouds, cold and wind. We decided to go to a motorhome parking in Alcaracejos and stay there for several days to wait for the storm to calm down. We put a lot of strain on our batteries and our patience :D.
