Diversity is not created by "capitalism"

Many people believe a fat myth of today's world, that capitalism (this trade-based system) is creating diversity. Look at how many chocolates there are, cars, gadgets, software, etc.. But this is a myth. The diversity is in the package/wrapper and not the product itself. Most phones are the same, nothing new for "new releases". Cars brought almost no advantage to transportation overall for the past decades. Products in the supermarket taste quite the same between brands, and clothes are recycled fashion trends. Movies and books are remakes or copy cats of whatever sells best. And so on.
Anyway, here is a search engine we made to showcase how 175 companies own pretty much everything in this world https://www.tromsite.com/tbf/
But I want to focus on 1 particular domain: software.
Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, VK, and maybe 3-4 more, are the ones that are the most used in the world. They do not communicate with each other and are very limited in terms of functionality. It means you choose one or another, or a bunch of them and manage them separately. They are trade-based platforms (you trade your data, currency, attention to them). Full of ads, full of censorship, full of crap overall.
On the other hand the Fediverse is a network of such platforms: Friendica, Mastodon, Peertube, Pixelfed, Funkwhale, and so forth. Look at the diversity here https://fediverse.party/en/miscellaneous/ - these are made by different organizations and enabled by different people. A ton of diversity in terms of options.

These are video platforms, blog platforms, photo sharing platforms, platforms for musicians, live streaming, events, you name it. And all communicate with each other. If some organization has an account with Peertube (video platform) I can follow and interact with them from my social platform Friendica. How amazing! If I have a Peertube account and a Friendica one, I can easily setup so that when I post on Peertube a video, it goes on my Friendica too, as a post. The options are very diverse.
This "fediverse" is created not to be traded but to be shared. You will not find ads on these platforms (at least not on the vast majority of them), or data collection or any of that crap.
The MacOS and Windows vs Linux is yet another example of how diversity is actually achieved when humans do not sell their stuff and themselves, when you have a community of people who share their work and ideas. Linux comes in so many flavors for so many needs and wants. Look at this:

So if you look at software overall, the "capitalism" world, which is the trade-based world in which people make software to trade it (for data, attention, currency, etc.) is like a handful of options. But when the software is created for the sake of creating it and is shared and anyone can copy these, modify, redistribute, as trade-free, then real diversity is created and a better environment emerges overall.
We should take the software example and try to provide other goods/services in the same manner. But to do that we have to decouple humans from the trade-based society. At least when it comes to their basic needs. Else no one can have the time to engage in such things. Software is easy to create and maintain from the comfort of your home and in your space time, but is difficult when it comes to food or other goods and services. In any case there is still and abundance of such trade-free goods/services out there as we showcase here directory.trade-free.org/. But this is not enough.
So. If we want to create a wonderful society, we first have to decouple humans from this trade-based society by at least providing them with their basic needs as trade-free. That creates a good soil for the emergence of lots of trade-free goods/services, in a positive feedback loop. Imagine how much good we can create in this world. Imagine how much real diversity. Imagine how wonderful this could be.

UN chief when arriving in Ukraine. I think UN is still naive by not looking at the society through a scientific perspective, look at human behavior and such, but I do like their attitude many times. In principle they try to do good things. And some people believe they are "evil". wtf. Anyway, I like to see such a figure with visibility, say something everyone should say: "when we talk of war crimes we cannot forget that the worst of crimes is war itself". Because it is.

I have this idea, and it sparked out of my anger with one of the stupidity of this society. So, listen.

I know how to make websites and via Yunohost and my basic server admin skills, I can create a video platform using Peertube and maintain it, quite easily. I already have videos.trom.tf and trom.tf as as whole.
This society seems mental when it comes to the naked human body. They see that as bad bad bad. And this is insane. At the same time guns, violence, nonsnese politics, insults and the like are ok. So videos containing nudity are banned left and right from all platforms.
I really really need some financial support to sustain our many TROM projects.

What if I make a themed Peertube instance dedicated to nudism where I/we have to manually approve the users, and rely on donations for the support? This way we can create a community for nudists and normalize it more. I can provide that and maybe I can get a bit of financially support to work on it and on my TROM stuff. The conten

It's a good idea in principle, the big question is over getting enough donations to sustain it. There's also the risk that siloing it too much won't help on the normalisation front.

The server costs can be 50 Euros a month for thousands of videos posted. But you have a point about isolating it and then not normalizing nudity at all....but at least to allow people to post their videos somewhere safe from being banned. We can also enable live streaming.

Damn finally I have reduced and sorted 13 or more hours into less than 4. This was brutal. I have deleted a lot. But now the massive task is to try and cut these down to 2 hours. Else I may end up creating 4 more parts...idk...there are a bunch of things that we repeat and say them in different ways. But this is ALL of the footage we have. Nothing left. Next days is brainstorming about how to approach this amount of footage...

Tomorrow I'll get back to work on TROM II. Today I did none. Was not feeling like doing anything. I got overwhelmed again at how much stuff we recorded...I will for sure finish this month with the sorting of it all, then the huge task of figuring how to continue and finish the documentary. I wish I had the money to work on it for the next many months without being stressed about what I am going to do in the months after that...but is fine, I got used with the idea that I won't probably finish it in a month or even two. Will try to find a way to make money, maybe I can find a not-very-stressful job. That will be my focus in a month or so.

It is funny becasue I already have a "job" that I do daily and for that past 15 or so years. But I am not paid for it, because I am a nice human and everything I do I share it for free with everybody. And because of this attitude I have to suffer and now I have to do some other "job" that is probably retarded and only helps very few people, not the rest. And do it to survive, not that I like it.

I worked so much on TROM II these 2-3 days. And I will keep on working on. I have a massive task of putting together hundreds of individual cuts from some 20h of footage, and reduce it 10 times, plus make it in a way that makes sense.... I am probably done with some 80% of that already. It is very very very challenging. I may take a day or so off will see. Because now I don't make sense of TROM II anymore haha. Too many parts, too many things, too many clips....too much... #tromlive

Here's what happened to me today, and some may not consider it a big deal, but it is a big deal when you look at the overall picture.

So, 1AM in Spain. I have a little electric scooter I bought years ago. Is powerful enough to go with like 30km/h if you force it. Can hold up to 150kg or so. I used it a lot over the years. I live in a very small and 9-months-a-year empty town.

I recently fixed it a bit even tho the battery is shit so I can only go for like 3km with it. I and Sasha wanted to go for a little ride for the night. 2 people on it, standing up. It's that sort of scooter. No one in the town, we were on the bike lane, it is a super small town. Police in front of us. They stop us and tell us it is illegal in Spain to ride 2 people on these scooters. Only 1 is allowed and only with a helmet.

My.Fucking.God.

Let me alone zombies! WTF is this world about? No one has better things to do?! What is the logic behind these retarded laws!? Other people's safety? If that's the case then explain me how is this a danger for others? I can't see any. With 2 people

I really wanted to try and have a conversation with the police-man, sorry zombie, tonight but what if then they would have fined me? See?! They create this fear and punishment and they don't solve anything. What are they celebrating that Tio is not able to ride his little scooter with his girlfriend anymore!? haha. A criminal and dangerous man is not a threat anymore! Success!

If there was no internet so I can express these things when I am raped by this society from all directions, I would have had a very short life because I would have confronted these morons directly. I would have punched them in their noses. Fucking zombies.

It is illegal to not wear a seat-belt in the car. hahahah. Why the fuck you force people to do that?! Simply tell them that this is recommended, but not punish them for not taking care of their own safety. Imagine if it was illegal to go for a swim at the sea without a life-vest....

Any-fucking-way. This society would be a comedy if you would not be part of it. But it becomes a horror movie when you are.

Probably suicide is also illegal in Spain. But they should make it better by giving fines to the family of the deceased. If your kid killed himself, you get a 560 Euros fine. Because it is illegal. These stupid things that our society is littered with, are my fuel to keep on making TROM and all of these projects, but at times I am concerned that this fuel will light up and there will be a big explosion. So I need to try and keep myself calm as much as possible.

The other day I put my hammock in one of these nature places here to relax, and 2 other law-enforcing zombies told me it is not allowed. What the fuck is this society about!?

Utter zombies. If I will ever be kidnapped by aliens I will never admit that I am part of this species. I would be totally embarrassed.

The 3rd part of TROM II has begun! For now I have to shrink 2h of us talking about the biggest problems of today's world, in like 15 minutes max...how-the-fuck!? :D Really difficult. But probably that's my next mission.

At least I have an idea now about how this documentary will end. But I am left with huge amounts of footage that I need to shrink so much....that's gonna be difficult. #tromlive

The second part of TROM II documentary is done. So far we have over 2h done in total. At least 98% done since there needs to be some editing for the final versions, like little things here and there.

We are now working on the next part or parts. We have a TON of really important material that we filmed, but we do not have money anymore so I, Tio, can perhaps only work for 2 more months on it. Then I'll have to make some money somehow. Unfortunately that's the paradox when you make a documentary about how fucked up this society is, while at the same time you are one of its victims.

I will have to ask again if anyone can support TROM financially to do so here tromsite.com/donate/ . This documentary will be released for free of course, trade-free on Peertube. And it is both a sharp stabbing at this socie

Oh is doing great. After I've let the proxy clips be handled automatically all worked great. My project is massive and Kdenlive maybe crashed 3 times for the past 2 years or so. I mean it is really rock solid now.
